Now I don't mean glitches or anything like that, I mean like little things that make you laugh on reflection like not knowing something simple.
For example, I was on my 3DS on Zelda OoT and I was told to turn it off though I had the 3D off, plus I was doing short bursts anyway. I moved my hands and doing so made the view move from facing the boss to a wall, In my head I was like Whoops, I gotta remember that.
That was not as funny as not knowing how to exit the house you start in Pokemon Red and Blue. To this day I still have no clue, I am joking by the way as I do know now.

My brother played so much Blitzball in Final Fantasy X he could make Tidus score from any part of the field, and usually scored 110-120 goals a season. That was the funniest thing I ever seen in gaming overall.

The funniest thing looking back for me was that it took me at least a couple months to get past the first Goomba in the original Super Mario Bros. My doctor said to my parents to get the system for my hand-eye coordination problems, and they were REALLY bad. I almost gave up video gaming, I got so frustrated. I wanted to cry because I kept jumping at the wrong time and dying.

I was playing Stranger's Wrath the other day (HD remake for ps3). The game involves you running around the world capturing Outlaws and trading them into jail for money. There was this one guy I was after at some point. He would stand up on fortress and shoot rockets at me while his henchmen come after me on the ground. So for about 5 minutes all he does is the rockets, and then out of nowhere, as I'm facing his direction, his entire body warps into my face and he bounces off me. It looked like some sort of glitch, and the boss hurriedly bounces back across the map up to his fortress. It was so weird and hilarious at the same time. I found out later that this was one of his regular attacks, but it was just so silly. It really looked glitched out the way his body would kind of stretch across the map into my face.

Spending an hour killing the good elites and grunts in the Halo 2 level The Arbiter thinking I was still Master Chief that was captured and being puzzled in why they were not shooting me and not realizing I was playing as the golden zealot elite at the beginning cutscene of the game now known as The Arbiter.

Spending days stuck in Dry Dry Ruins in Paper Mario even after getting the Nintendo Power guide 141 because I only looked at the pictures and didn't even bother to read a sentence.

Minecraft: Exploring a cave, I get knocked into a big pit by a skeleton, which is a long fall into a huge lava lake. I manage to land on the ONE solitary block floating a bit above it, though I've only about 1 heart of health left.

I thought I was so darn lucky to have survived that. I look straight up, to see how far I fell.... and I see zombie feet coming straight at me.

The zombie finished me off with a classic Mario stomp sort of move when it landed right on my head. Rather like jumping on a Goomba. It was pretty hilarious at the time.

Well, my panther in Torchlight 2 now yowls and shoots lightning, but that might qualify under badass instead.

I remember when I was 9 and I was trying to beat ICO for the first time. I kept screaming as I failed over and over again.

I was stuck in Rock Tunnel for a week when playing Pokemon Red 3 years ago (that was kind of the game that got me into video games). Off the top of my head, that's really all I can think of.

I'm incredibly easy to amuse when playing games, so I always laugh when enemies stop searching for me in Elder Scrolls or Fallout games after I shoot them in the head while sneaking. Just the idea of someone giving up on finding their assailant makes me very amused.

I watched a friend play Assassin's Creed once...he went to kill the target as he was running only to kill a random NPC instead

I joined a level in LBP2 only to load up right at the end of it, gaining the trophy for beating that set of levels...

I don't know if this counts, but my uncle used to shoot the instructor in COD

Heh, I enjoy that one too, especially in New Vegas. My favorite is getting both the 'kill Motor Runner' and 'deliver drugs to Motor Runner' quests at the same time, walking into the fiend base, delivering the drugs, and then quietly shooting Motor Runner in the head from behind a pillar with a silenced weapon. If you do it right, you can talk to fiends in the base and have them say "did you hear, someone killed Motor Runner!", even if they virtually saw you do it.

There's also a point in the Gomorrah casino quest line where you can discover that a strange character that talks kinda like Flanders on the Simpsons is really a sadistic serial killer, and then blackmail him with the evidence. The funny part to me is that he'll make some threatening comments about finding you later, and then turn his back on you and slowly walk away... Needless to say, I take his money, shoot him in the back of the head, and drop the body down a handy elevator shaft.

Sneaking multiple bricks of C4 into Ceasar's tent, packing his throne with them, and then literally blowing him out of the game has its charms as well.

Man, New Vegas had a lot of vigilante fun to be had, now that I really think about it.

While playing Tales of Symphonia HD, I remember getting pushed to and stuck at a wall by an NPC near a save point after a long time of playing. I tried running at and talking to the the NPC to push it but to no avail. When I gave up and wanted to reload my last save, the npc moved on it's own on the last moment. It was both hilarious and frustrating.
