I have downloaded and used both Steam and Origin before, but does anybody know about any alternative platforms to those two? I think Steam and Origin both are okay platforms but I wondered what else is out there.

There's Epic Games and I think Ubisoft has one too.

I have Steam (to play Rocksmith) & Rockstar (to play Red Dead Redemption II), never tried anything else but have heard good things about GOG (DRM-free and classic games).

Unfortunately, Origin has since been replaced by the EA app. I say unfortunately because the EA app is terrible! So glitchy. I really wish they'd fix the app. Origin used to work fine, so I'm annoyed they replaced it with a worse application.

I prefer GoG because the games are DRM-free, but I haven't really used their launcher.

Steam has its flaws, but it is the most biggest and popular PC gaming platform/client.

Nothing can really compete in terms of the games available on Steam versus competitors.

At my end, the awful Origin works normally. I decided I didn't want to be forced to downgrade even more. So I looked around, and found a config file or something to modify, to prevent that catastrophe of a program ever finding it's way to where I am. Only issue is that Origin probably won't ever be updated again.

You can play Red Dead Redemption II on Steam.
