I was just wondering if any of you guys play this game and if so, are you looking forward to the newer one coming soon.

That game is awesome.
On the topic of the new one, I try to NOT look forward to games, there are enough out now that I don't have. If a new one turns out to be better (like Super Mario Galaxy did), then I add it to my list, giving it an appropriate spot.
I keep a 75-item list of games that I want due to having gotten too many lousy games that should have been good in the past.

I do because I am a huge star wars plan. I hope we can roleplay in the new one. I love roleplaying characters in Star Wars.

Dreams of playing a game? How does that go? Are you IN the game, or does the dream include things like manipulating the controls?

I loved the Knights of the Old Republic series. I think the second game had a stronger storyline but was plagued by bugs and technical issues from a premature release trying to make it out for the holiday season.

I don't play multiplayer games so I won't be playing The Old Republic and am pissed off beyond belief that they went that route rather than make a direct sequel to KOTOR II.

well actually bioware made the majority of the game to be single player just with mmo oppritunities and the story of the game is bassically the next like 5 KotOR according to bioware

I just don't see how you can drive a solid story experience in an MMO. The best part of KOTOR was the story and I just don't see how that can translate to an MMO.

bioware has speccifically said that the game will be a story driven game first then mmo second. i dont know how they will do this. but bioware litterally has never made a bad game yet. so i have hope

There's also the fact that it's PC exclusive and won't be on consoles like the original 2 were. Since my PC won't run it, I'm out of the loop either way.

bioware also has stated that their not making the game for like super gaming computers as they want anyone to be able to play even if they have an old computer. i mean it probably play or look as good. but it should still play

Wait... How outdated are we talking, here? Surely it wouldn't run on a machine that couldn't handle the first 2!
...Which means that it's time to upgrade.

In general, MMOs are not on the cutting-edge of technology. (Look at WoW.) I expect that my GeForce 8800 GTS (which, upon playing the Arkham Asylum demo, is starting to show its age) would yawn at it.

Actualy one of the last games I bought and have been playing quite a lot recently has been KotOR, I had the second one ages before that, and I think both are really good. At the moment I am using character specialised in force and have been trying to do the court case on Manaan, yet I am not quite sure how to win it.

I don't know whether I will be able to play the mmo version wouldn't that dilute the past games style of pitting you with specific characters like HK-47 and a famous sith/jedi master. I hope they will be able to finish up some of the dangling threads about HK-47 as they were planning on having a part at the HK factory.

I will put the trailer here:

KOTOR deserves a 3rd game. Community is very dedicated to make KOTOR 2 finished. Take a look at the latest release of content. 90 new game events and bug fixes are also in it. Its in Beta form so final build of it isn't long off. Its got the driod factory and other bits in there as well. Enjoy.

KOTOR 2 Lost Content Beta

I don't like this new MMO trend. If TOR is Free to Play I might jump into it. If not I don't have the cash to jump into it. :)
