Things that made me and my sister chuckle back during our youngster, preschool days..

Pit Fall
-Purposely makeing the character all into the pit, by different means each time
The one with the two monkeys that made words (whatever the title was)
-we liked to pretend some of the letters were poop. .....-.- sorry..
Shark shark
-killing the crabs and lobsters just makes a certain sound.
Biplanes
-the shape of them looks funny. So we giggled when they would crash in different ways, and stuff. Mind you, we would do this on purpose.
Tanks (can't remember the title of the one I'm thinking)
-the fact that the canon ball would bounce off the walls was amusing enough, hitting the other tank when it was on the other side was better if the other was avoiding it.
Utopia
-Who could destroy what first
Battleships
-Seeing how many boats of our very own we could destroy by 'accident'.
Tron
-pretending the energy box was a bathroom, and that the reason the side screen of death was aproaching was that God wanted to kill us.
-watching the big purple thing fart out of his eye balls.

Things in games that made you chuckle?

I've never laughed harder than in the seamonkey scene of Space Quest.

I just wasn't expecting what happened.

Psychonauts- The entire game. Especially when in the mind of Boyd.

Super Samsh Bros. Brawl- The parts where Diddy Kong ended up dragging the Star Fox characters to help him, and the part where Shiek and Fox were fighting and Peach stopped the fight by offering tea. Oh, and Wario's Waft.

Conker's Bad Fur Day- The entire game is funny, but what stands out the most is the Great Mighty Poo.

Dragon Quest VII- Rapthorn's appearance. Yangus yelling, "Cor Blimey!"

Super Paper Mario- When Francis tried to woo Peach dating sim style.

Man, there's a lot of funny moments in games. Unfortunately, I can't remember all of them at the moment.

In Mass Effect, in the Earthborn sidequest, there is a moment in which a member of your old Earthside gang will show up on the Citadel, and ask you to use your status as a SPECTRE to get another member released from custody by the turians. Go into the bar, and tell the turian guard that you want the human prisoner released. His response: "We all want things, human. Desire forms the basis of organized society. That being said, the xenophobe will remain in custody."

Just about any long conversation with assassin droid HK-47 in the Knights of the Old Republic games will result in some chuckles - for instance, when he explains the origin of his use of "meatbag" to describe organics. My personal favorite, though, was when HK-47 attempted to define love, in the second game: "Love is making a shot to the knees of a target 120 kilometers away, using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope. ... It consists of two beings coming together against great odds to achieve a singular result."

In Halo: ODST, there is one side-mission that consists of Dutch, a sniper, trying to get across the Uplift Preserve park. When he reaches the far side, he has to drive his vehicle through a gap in a wall - that dumps him out some distance above the streets of New Mombasa. In a cutscene, Dutch bails out in time, and turns to see his vehicle piled up against a building nearby and on fire. "Lord," Dutch says semi-reverently, "I didn't train to be a pilot. Please tell me I don't have any more flying to do today."

At that moment, a broken combat drone comes screaming out of the sky and crashes into a nearby monument. Dutch hits the dirt for the crash, then gets up, looks to the sky, and asks, "Was that a 'yes' or a 'no'?"

Behind him, the vehicle he rode in on explodes. Dutch responds with a quiet, "Amen."

And last night, helping out a buddy in the Firefight mode of ODST, I found two more moments, in background lines.

I headshot one of the attacking Grunts (which is even more fun when you have the Birthday Party Skull active, as it makes the Grunt explode in a shower of confetti). One of the onscreen Marines nearby said, "Hey, buddy - looks like you dropped your brains!"

Later, my friend had killed a Brute and stolen his gravity hammer, a wonderful close-in weapon. When the next wave of attackers arrived in their troopship, he went underneath it to kill as many as possible as they dropped. One of the Grunts shouted, "What Brute a-hole gave him a gravity hammer?!?"

Pretty much the entire time I played Fallout 2... so many jokes and pop culture references. Blowing up the outhouse near the 'omelette shop' was a lot of fun.

Hard Drivin': Running over the cow and watching it moo.

Cruis'n World (arcade version): In the Germany stage, running over the cows and watching their guts fly across the screen.

Berzerk (anyone remember this one?): Intentionally hitting the walls or the Smileys and watching the cool sound effect that results from it.

Oh, some of the KOTOR ones are already taken. Though one dialogue comes to mind where in KOTOR1 you are asked serously about your homeworld background by Bastila and one of the responses I couldnt help but choos. That being "Kashyyyk. I'm a Wookiee, can't you tell?", I couldn't help but let out a chuckle, though she didn't take to kindly to the response. Jolee also has a few funny stories.

Another moment that made me laugh was when Jolee (an old jedi) from KOTOR 1 starts a story about a jedi prophosised to do something great, and he grew a bit arogant for being special. He goes on saying that they ended up being kidnapped by the leaders of a large Crime organisation along with Jolee, he began ranting he had a great destiny and acting like a big shot. The crime lords at first stunned then threw him over the edge of a platform they were on, Jolee describes the situation with delite of him bouncing all over the gravity generator like area, and then the area started blowing up, apparently from the body of the jedi. Jolee seems strangly fond of this tale of his body greatly damaging crime and it sounds like he is expecting a simular sitation of the player character's fate.

well I guess I have found a few in Dragon Age: Origins. There is some really good moments you can exchange some good dialogue by being sarcastic and lightly tease characters. Such as telling the witch character she looks the type to eat babies, or praising the dog for biting ione of the allies.

Bill and Tedd's excellent adventures game. They had pudding when they visited the midevil era. I gave everyone pudding thinking we would make progress. Nope. Oh, let's get some information from this peasent. Have some pudding. heheh

Everquest graphics file issue. I kept seeing nakade people, when they put in some new graphics for humanoids. At least I know they drew a butt crack.

In the game Stormlord for the Sega Genesis, one could supposedly see boobies.

A cameo from Earl Sinclair from Dinosaurs in Quest for Glory I (So you want to be an hero).
And the bizarre humour in Monkey Island.

And if you complain that the hero of this tale didn't seem to have a very exceptional destiny, Jolee tells you that his death, and the resulting destruction of the crime boss' ship, changed the political climate of that entire sector, leading to major changes and a crackdown on crime in general. "Sounds pretty significant to me. You'd be lucky to have as much influence on the galaxy when you die."

Ahhhhhh, my friends, what could compare to the humour offered in a Mario game, especially one where spoken dialogue is involved?
It's pure golden.
