What about Nintendo? Some may disregard the Wii, but that's where third-party support is shifting to. (It was largely unsupported before because publishers have to predict the market from 3 years off, and they didn't expect such success out of the Wii.)
Sony and Microsoft have introduced new motion-based control schemes to compete with Nintendo and each other. (Can't let the other get ahead.) Their motion controls, however, will be gimmicks, since their systems have well-established standard controllers.
Nintendo has an established motion-based controller, and will likely continue to dominate that market.
It's sort of like the fifth generation in the extreme. Nintendo introduces something cool (analog then, motion now), and the other two have to copy it. This time, though, the copy involves ditching the old setup entirely, causing low initial adoption. The other difference in this case is that the innovative system is on top. (And will stay there.)
Yes That is true and its not that were leaving Nintendo out it just there isn't much going around with Nintendo yet but I do agree with what you said above.
I believe Nintendo holds the true future of gaming when it comes down to the tiny and overlooked facts.
