Those who have played No More Heroes will no doubt recall all the interesting and unique ranked assassins that Travis Touchdown clashes with on his way to #1 in the United Assassins Association list. I am on my second playthrough of the game at the moment, and just today I beat that Harvey-magician-guy (he had a very long name) and Speed Buster. I've enjoyed it so much more on the second time, and it hasn't lost an iota of it's charm.

Ever since the first time I fought him, my favourite ranked assassin has been Destroyman. I like how he is a take on the typical superhero, yet he's got the blood all over him, and he's got all these different attacks... he's like a Pokemon in some instances!
I also liked the battle with Speed Buster! It was a nice change from those health bar fights; just running through and breaking her laser gun was a breath of fresh air but still a good challenge. I'll be taking on Bad Girl and "Dark Knight" tomorrow.
So, who's your favourite assassin?

R U SRS? 93 views and not one person has commented? I suppose no one's actually played No More Heroes... sad face.

Update on progress: I beat Bad Girl and Dark Star, as I discovered him to be named. I saw the full ending for the first time too! I have gone all this time without knowing what really happened in the end!
Now I'm playing it all again on Mild difficulty because I enjoyed the game so much, although I wonder why Mild wasn't the name for the easiest difficulty setting! I mean, mild is mild! :S

Dude, I LOVE No More Heroes. The second one just came out here and it's amazing! :D And we get the bloody version in America. ^_^ Anyways, I think my favorite in the first one was probably either Harvey Moiseiwitsch Volodarski or Holly Summers.

Lucky you mate! I'm eagerly awaiting the Australian release of NMH2 right now, and from what I hear this one will have blood in all versions so we won't be missing out on anything! Geez, don't you think the ash/black pixels are strange? I've gotten used to it but it still seems totally out of it! And I'm impressed that you managed to remember Harveys full name! I just call him Magician or Harvey half the time cos he has such a long name! ^^;

No more heroes is single handedly(well, not anymore, since the sequel's out) the best game for core gamers on the wii, IMO. I cant get enough of the art style in it. American bloody version FTW, even with the somewhat choppy frame rate! :P

My favorite assassin was probably #2, Bad Girl. Took forever for me to figure out how to beat her, but it was very satisfying when I did.

I'm waiting with bated breath for the sequel to this game, and hoping beyond hope that the UK gets the bloody version (the first game was so neutered by having bad guys simply disintegrate into piles of ash).

My favourite assassins would have to be Dr Peace and Bad Girl, I think. Dr Peace because he's got an awesome singing voice and two badass golden revolvers, and Bad Girl because... well, just look at her. A psycho Gothic Lolita with a baseball bat that's on fire? Sold! :D

Can't say I blame you! The first time Bad Girl played the fake tears game with me, that cost me the fight. XS
These days I just wait 'til she gets up and hack at her!! :3

Yeah. Dr. Peace is the definition of suave! The mustache just oozes good hygiene skills! XD
Bad Girl is a Gothic lolita? I always noticed the dress but I never thought her to be of Gothic influence! ^^;

Her too! She's good for variety in a ranked battle, am I right? None of that health bar stuff! ;)
