Anyone familair with this old game Emperor of the fading suns? I've heard its very buggy and has some flaws but the overall design and vision of the game is mean't to be quite astounding for the 4x genre of strategy games?
I managed to get hold of the game from home of the underdogs awhile back and its been laying dorment in my external hard drive ever since. Today I thought I'd give it a try out see what I find. From what I've gathered it strikes me as very Frank Herbert's Dune universe mixed with Issac Asimov's foundation saga and some interstellar wargaming stuff.
Very atmospheric. I've heard an indie company is looking to re-develop the game using a modern engine and new artwork
Looking to give this a try out this afternoon if anyone would like to chip in who's played it before give me some tips on how to get the most out of this old gem i'd be most appreactive I think theres a user made patch on the internet so start there first. See IF I can get this working on windows XP
