Otherwise known as Deus Ex 3. The video is mature. Feel free to skip it if you wish...

Actually, there was a movie planned, but they cancelled it. Other Eidos games have become movies, like Hitman and Tomb Raider - i'm still hopefull.

I'm looking forward to this game, the trailer looks good. :o
There seems to be various references to Renaissance in music and imagery...

Wow.

Very interesting direction for the series to take.

I hope an overreliance on story and graphics doesn't cause the actual gameplay to suffer. Furthermore, I'm interested in seeing how this game turns out, as the same company is also doing Thief 4.

In case you're wondering Michael McCann composed the music for the trailer.

Also I wonder how many kids are going to see the triangle symbol in "Human Evolution" and think it's somehow connected with PS3. Anyone with a modicum of education knows that's a Delta; the 4th letter in the Greek alphabet. Both the lower and uppercase Delta have many meanings. In this case it means "Change any type; (in science and engineering fields)."

I've been waiting for this for years. This series will always hold a special place in my heart.

And I don't care what anyone says, Invisible War was awesome. Kidneythieves up in the soundtrack :D

Since techincally this is the 4th game in the series the Delta has another meaning.

P.S. That has to be the best game trailer I have seen in my life.

There are officially three games in the series. Deus Ex (2000), Deus Ex: Invisible War (2003), and Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011). Where's this fourth you speak of?

Project Snowblind was originally conceived as the third game in the series, but it was eventually put out as its own game after the commercial flop of Invisible War.

I love that it's about transhumanism and its ethics. I'm anti-transhumanist. I think augmented reality is already dehumanizing us, and by becoming god, we'll no longer be human. For those that choose to remain ormal unaltered Humans, a social divide would ocurr and eventually, bad things could happen. I don't know, it's difficult to explain.
I was at one point actually writing a short story on the subject, about the majority of the Human race becoming akin to robots. Those who remained Human were hunted down and killed after they were deemed inferior and obstacles to progress. The main character is a refugee with Asperger's hiding out in the heavily polluted gaps between the domed city-states where the Mechs(cyborgs) reside. I might still write it, but I have to overcome writer's block first.

Oh, and another thing I'd like to say: they need to make another System Shock game. I don't care that the creators don't own the franchise. I understand Bioshock is in a way a spiritual successor, but really, another System Shock game needs to be made. I mean, System Shock 2 came out before Deus Ex and inspired it a great deal. And there hasn't been a SS game since the 90's and Deus Ex is already making a third game. Why can't another game be made already?

It looks excelent, definately got my eye on this one. hope it's more like the original deus ex than invisible war though.

ShenLong. that short story sounds very interesting, good luck overcoming the writers block.
