Wow. Just wow, that's all I can say. If you haven't played this game yet, you need to! It's seriously got to be one of the most beautiful games I've played.

It bugged me all the talking by Cage in the months before the release but anyway from what I've read I'm sure it's amazing and somehow something different, when the price is right I'll get it.

I saw a video review of it a little while ago and have since been considering buying a ps3 just so I can play that game. It looks amazing!

I haven't played all the way through yet but so far I'm impressed. It has a really good story, incredible graphics, and a unique control scheme. I'd like to see more games of its kind.

I bought the game yesterday and just booted it up. Straight away it told me I need to download an essential update before I can play, which is downloading now. Total download time of five hours. Not impressed. Particularly since the update is a measly 226mb and there's nothing wrong with my connection, which at maximum speed would normally download something that size in less than half an hour.

Wow. I just played through about half the game tonight and it's incredible. It's a really unique game experience that my brother described really well. He said "it doesn't feel like you're controlling characters, it feels like you're controlling people". It really does feel real sometimes, and I genuinely cared about the choices I was making and what sort of impact they would have. The story really drew me in immediately and I can't wait to get back to it and see where it goes next. Plus I'm already wanting to replay it because I want to see what sort of things can change when you make different decisions.

Something I found amusing was that this is the only game or movie I've ever seen where there's a semicolon in a subtitle. I don't remember exactly where it was, but I was shocked to see it because I never see them anywhere except for the rare occasion that I use one (improperly, most likely).

After getting the update, which took forever, I played through it twice. Excellent game. It has the best videogame storyline I have ever seen, and I have been playing videogames since the early 90s. Each time was very different, although the first half of the playthrough was largely the same, the paths diverging wildly from the midpoint on.

I'm trying to get other people I know to play it presently. It's very much the sort of game that many non-gamers would enjoy, without being a 'casual' game per se.

I agree that a non-gamer could enjoy this. It feels more like an interactive movie than a typical game. Though a complete non-gamer might have some trouble with the fast action sequences when you have to hit buttons really quickly. And it's definitely not a casual game in any sense, it goes to some quite dark emotional places.

Isn't heavy rain meant to be an adventure game? Does it have challenging puzzles in it?

Heavy Rain is more like an interactive movie where you take control of the main star in each scene. It is going to be compatible with the new Playstation Move Controller and it currently has a DLC episode based on an old build called The Taxidermist. The main game has a number of trophies that can be earned and quite a few different endings or variances to the ending that will allow for some replay ability. Unfortunately with Sonys' push for Move compatibility it is possible that Quantic Dream, the company that made the game, will be forced to abandon upcoming DLC for their next big project.

David Cage has gone on record in saying that Heavy Rain really isn't a game. It's more of an interactive choose your own adventure books.
