Yes folks they finally lowered the price to what it's worth. I only beta-tested the game a few years back, maybe it's improved. For what they are charging now, I may have a look at it again in a few days.

i've wanted to try DnD but I never got over the price for sourcebooks. I saw an ad for this today and I thought I'd give it a try.

I'm playing now. We should all make a guild in this game because in dungeons, ya only here and see members of your group. So we could form a wp guild and all go dungeo crawling.

I'd really like to join an aspie guild or just add some players. :)

I haven't played in a while, but I'd be willing to. And I'll bring my neighbour(who also has asperger's) on as well.

It's...been free, now Lord of the rings online is going free perhaps you have the two mixed up since they're produced by the same company.

No, definitely free. It's more of a trial account really. But my DDO trial is much better than my full WoW account imo.. I actually get scared adventuring alone! The dungeons are so spooky.

I guess first we need to dedicate an aspie server. I'm on Thelanis atm, but flexible, cos they're only level 2-3.

When DDO first came out, IIRC, it used the standard business model - ten days free, then a monthly fee to play. The game sank in the rapidly-burgeoning world of MMOs, though, and was revived only by its new business model (free to play, but certain advanced game aspects can only be accessed for a fee).

Is LOTRO going to follow this model as well?

I know but it's been on the free with micro transaction route for a while now so a thread stating that it's free is a little behind the times.

Yes LOTRO is going free with micro transactions in august.
