I've just made my first game, here it is...

Would be nice if someone would play it as it's seems not many people have much interest in it.
Anyway, it's a game some of you might know, Oh Mummy. Okay, maybe you don't know that one, lol. Anyway, it was released on the Spectrum, c64, etc.... It was one of the first games i ever played on the Spectrum so it brings back many fond memories. It's not exactly the same as mine due to my lack of programming knowledge.

I wish i'd found game maker earlier as i've always dreamt of being a programmer. I lack skills but game maker takes away the complexity of programming. I started programming on the spectrum with not much luck. I then ventured onto the Amiga 600 with basic c or something like that. Perhaps my brain wasn't developed enough to understand how to do things properly. I always came up with a problem that i couldn't fix. Also i didn't have the WWW to help me back then. So now I'm back and starting my second game on game maker, here's hoping it's a winner!
Actually, it's just a copy of a very famous game from the Spectrum. You have to start somewhere though.

I wonder if anyone knows where i can get tile sets from? The ones used to make levels, but not ripped from famous games. i've tried the ones listed on Yoyo resource page but they are pretty poor and would probably be used so much that people get sick of seeing them.

The exe file cannot run under Ubuntu 10.4 using Wine.

Did you try the plugin or the download?
