O.K. I'm stupid, but how do you drop items in Oblivion? :?

Drag it outside of your inventory screen and into the playscreen, atleast that did it in Morrowind.

I'm glad people are still playing this legendary game!!

If you are on Xbox, select an item and press X, I think that should do it

Sorry to correct you, Wallourdes, but on PC you hold down shift and then left-click the item you want to drop. I would have preferred the Morrowind solution as well, but Bethesda didn't ask me. ;-)

A site I am finding immensely useful for playing TES games is the UESP page. It answers about every kind of question I have ever had on TES games and also offers information on controls and other things that are not spoilers.

"Slightly evolutionary" is a better description of TES4 than "legendary."

Indeed. Morrowind was far superior in every way except the graphics and aspects of the combat mechanics.

Here's hoping that The Elder Scrolls V fixes some of the consolisation that Oblivion suffered, but I won't hold my breath, as I bet the 360 is still the lead platform.

Shame that from what I heard V will take place directly after IV. I'd assume in the same region (Cyrodiil) too. I wouldn't mind going to Black-Marsh or to where the wood-elves live.

What I like most about Morrowind was the travel systems. All cities are open (A mod is available to make that in Oblivion too, but its laggy), you can take boats/silt-striders and you can use levitate/mark&recall spells. Those were the days :)
