Not in the mood to play a certain game?

I have noticed that sometimes I have a hard time paying attention when I playing certain games and I think it might be because I am no longer in the mood to play it at that time.I noticed it recently with Final Fantasy III,Morrowind and Assassins Creed.Its not like I don't like these games I love them but I had a hard time pay attention or getting the mood to play them.For example I wanted to go through Assassin Creed 100% so I could finally play Assassins creed II so I could move onto brotherhood afterward but I when I got to play it,the mood just wasn't there and I couldn't pay attention and focus so I am putting that on hiatus for when I am in the mood to play.Recently I can't stop thinking about Final Fantasy namely the Nintendo saga in my opinion it went down hill after IX with VII and IX being the best out of those three and the thief series including the similar but not linked dark mod.I have also been in the mood for Dragon Quest but I won't move onto VII because I haven't play VI yet which has yet to be released in North America on DS because I can't stand playing games out of order now.Has anyone else ever had this happen.

It's often because of another game that I get . . . Assassin's Creed got preempted by Dead Space, which was usurped by Fallout 3, which fell to my acquisition of XBox Live and the Fable II expansions, which didn't last long once I began Dragon Age, which was eventually pushed aside by Oblivion.

Now . . . it doesn't have to be a new game, necessarily. I had a 3 week Oblivion break betwixt my Xbox breaking and my gaming laptop purchase, and I've had trouble achieving immersion in Oblivion again. I may have to move on to Fallout: New Vegas, and start the cycle anew with some of these upcoming sequels. But I've never even started the Oblivion main quest, so that is hard to accept.

It happens whenever not necessarily if I get a new game,hell since I don't have or get a lot of money there will be time when I got a new game and then I am no longer in the mood to play so I don't because I can't get focused on it.

I do have that problem, but I just don't put the game in the system if I'm not in the mood to play it.

For me its more of a background thing like I will say I wanna play this then when I actually get to playing it I find I just don't want to at the time and have a hard time focusing because I am not in the mood.Their will be time that I just get in to mood to play a game regardless of how many times I have beaten it and then I can't thinking about the series a good example is Zelda. This is one of the reasons I never get call of duty games for Christmas that and the fact that I rarely have an xbox live gold account so multiplayer isn't a huge incentive for me because once I beat single play I hardly ever touch it again. Which is why choosing what I want for Christmas this year is extremely difficult because the two games I am really excited about don't come out till early next year. I want fable three but I need to get the fable 2 dlc and wanted to go through both 1 and 2 again but when I tried going through the lost chapters I found I wasn't in the mood to play it. So for those games it looks like its time to play the waiting game,till I can get in the mood to play them but at least I got thief and final fantasy to keep me busy till then.As you can imagine this leaves me with a huge backlog.I am also happy will finally able to play earthbound since my older brothers friend owns a copy and is gonna let us borrow because I gave up waiting for it on VC.
