I just installed the game and I would like to know what do you think of the game? I think that it is a amazing game beautiful graphics and tons to do fee to explore anywhere you want and many places to travel. But I have some problems with the learning curve and the voice acting. But what do you think about it?

i've been a fan since X: beyond the Frontier :D
However, I stopped playing the game when I moved out from my parents... since that time, i've had a lack of space on my desk for my joystick (as well as lack of space in the schedule) :D
and NO... the X games are NOT fun without a decent joystick IMO :)

I agree the learning curve is quite high, though, but by surfing around the 'net, you can find a few starters that ease the learning curve a bit. Suffice to say, i've still not gotten completely used to all the stuff you can do in X3:TC :D

I have wanted to play X3: Terran Conflict as it is similar to other games I like (at least in terms of its environment of warfare and commerce between spacefaring civilizations), however I think I'll probably want to get a better power supply and a motherboard independent graphics card before installing it and thereby frying my computer.

I liked everything about X3 except the economics, the save system, the gameplay, the story, the graphics and the voice acting.

Except the fighting, and I play Black Prophecy for space fighting like that.

I'm a bit disappointed with Terran Conflict...

However, I have thousands of hours playing X3:Reunion and The X-tended Mod...

For me, it just seems that Terran Conflict gets "too big too fast."

I still remember the first time I jumped into Xenon space with my first real Capital Ship, the Pale Horse--that was probably the most satisfying moment I've ever had playing a video game. :D

I've got it but I find it to be annoying, so many graphical and control problems and i can never quite get things right. Never really gave it the chance to be honest. Loved the first 2 though.

Yeah, that's one thing about Egosoft... It might take a year to perfect their games, but they will fix most every bug. AND, they'll add vast amounts of free content too!

Even though I haven't played X3:TC in a long time, from what I understand, egosoft has added huge amounts of content to the game compared to its initial release--totally free.

Still, my favorite flavor of X-universe is the X-tended mod. With that mod and a few other add-ons like "race response fleets" the game makes for a truly dynamic and dangerous place to play.

I tried X tended I don't know why but I don't like mods that much. I think it is cool that I can see much of the details but I like original games better. I also like the ships in the game. What is the best one that you have seen?

I play mostly combat style as a mercenary or pirate, so I tend to like fighters the most.
In X3, my favorite ships were M3 class Argon Novas and Split Mambas. Both are decently fast and agile.

As a mobile base early in the game, (it takes many hours of play to attain a capital ship) I like the TL class Split Elephant. The Elephant is fast and handles much better than other TLs, and it can dock 15 fighters, making it the best “poor man’s carrier” in the game.

Once I can buy a capital ship, I usually get the M1 class Split Raptor. It docks 65 fighters has poor shielding, but great speed and agility, and good weapons too.

In XTM, I usually go with the Pirate variant of the M3+ Argon Eclipse. It has good shields, speed, and cargo space for jump fuel, making it a good pirate ship early in the game.

For base ships, I still like the Elephant until I can get my hands on an M7 Pirate Reaver. The Reaver is an incredible frigate with good speed, weapons, and decent shielding. It can easily wipeout a sector full of Xenon Js and Ks. In short, it is the last ship you’ll need in XTM.

As for X3:TC, as I said, I haven’t played it too much because I like my fighters and X3:TC tends to force the player into bigger ships as fighting rank goes up. However, I do remember a special M3 class Paranid Perseus that can be found abandoned in a remote sector. It is a lot of fun to fly, and very deadly when armed with chainguns.

For bigger ships, I really like the M7 Split Panther. It has all the firepower needed to take out much larger M1s and M2s, plus it can dock 32 fighters, making it a nice little pocket carrier.

That’s really the extent of my experience with ships in X3:TC…

i love the X universe,

but i must say the combat prototype for infinity (downloadable through their forums) has a much better feel.
something i have used dozens of mods to accomplish in x3

I love the content in the game with so much to do you don't know what is going on I think that it is a wonderful game to play and wish that it had a online mode where you can fight you're corperation against others like in EVE.
