Red Dead Redemption - awesome game

I had this on my list of must-gets, but it was low on my list. Now I realize I should have had it up there in the top three spots. I waited until just recently to get it, and man, am I HOOKED! As I play it's like I am there, living and breathing everything old west. It's that good of a game. I don't think I can ever get tired of it, hunting and gambling and helping people, etc... I give this game a TEN out of TEN. I am going to get the zombie expansion soon. What does everyone else think of this game? And will there be another Red Dead just as good?

My thought as well, I said to myself when this game was released that I had never envied console players before, but in this case I did just that for the first time.

(Btw the second time I feel like this will be when LA.NOIRE is hitting the shelves soon)

I wasn't really that into it but I love going on hardcore mode and blowing motherf***ers heads off.

I really enjoy the game but I need to get better at the duels. I have no idea what I'm doing when I have to do those - guess I accidentally skipped over the tutorial or something. As it is now, I get really confused, I aim, I see that weird bar filling up or something(?) but nothing happens when I hit the trigger so I just button mash the trigger button until something does happen: a) I don't shoot at all and stand there doing nothing while the other guy takes his time and then shoots and kill me or b) I end up totally riddling the guy with excessive bullets. No clue what I'm doing.

What the devil am I supposed to press, when and how much?

I had the same problem. It isn't explained very well ingame, which is unusual for Rockstar where half of all the missions in Grand Theft Auto IV seemed like tutorials.

Yeah I suck at the duels too. Every time I think I am doing it right, the other guy gets me first. And GTA IV is next on my list, followed with LA Noire. That games looks so cool.

I only have the zombie expansion and I'm planning to get the original one. The zombie one is a huge disappointed to me. I don't get to use the cover system against them cuz it will be useless. The zombies run, and can run while crawling and they move like doggies when they do this. It's not the adrenalin rush I was hoping for when I saw the cover.

Red Dead Redemption is an absolute experience. It felt so amazing soaking up the gorgeous atmosphere on my first playthrough.
Without spoiling anything, I just want to say that the ending is the number one reason to buy the game! Amazing.
Would it make a good videogame series? I'm not so sure...
