I have medieval II Total War and i also bought "Total War: Shogun 2" when it released, so i have all bonus units.

Recently i bought Empire and Napoleon, unfortunately i don't know "Game of the year edition" so i don't have dlc what make mu annoy.

My adventure started with the series started with the game "Rome: Total War" I really like strategy games especially those based on history. I would like to know what the game of this series you most like, for this I did a little survey, posted a list of all games of series.

I wonder what you will by next game with zerii "Total War", my little dream is to do a game based on WWII, although I know that this is unlikely. It would be nice if they made a game about World War I, or even the French-Prussian War, the Crimean Campaign or the American Civil War.

I have them all; I think I've played the original Medieval for the longest, but I wouldn't go back to it. I'd like to see them revisit Rome.

I would love to see one based around the whole "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" era.

Favorite though is rome followed by medieval 2 (which I love the song of ice and fire mod for it.)

And what do you think of something closer to our time. They could do a game about World War I or World War II or something of the Franco Prussian War or the American Civil War, because thanks to the two recent conflicts, mankind began to slaughter on a truly industrial scale :-). This was most noticeable during World War I and later during World War II and it all began with the Napoleonic wars:-) and I now play Napoleon: Total War :D

I suspect you'll get your wish; at any rate, China next up is a strong possibility. *derogatory comments on selling out to Sega, consoles, and pandering to the Asian markets redacted on grounds of tedium*

Not without a fundamental change in the gameplay. TW game engines are all based around blocks of men moving in relatively strict formation, which is loosely accurate for early stuff but utterly unsuited to 20th Century warfare. Franco Prussian or American Civil War, yeah, perhaps.

I've barely played it, but I own Rome: Total War and am thinking of picking up Total War: Shogun 2 (I wish they didn't move the Total War part to the front...) I'm not big on real-time strategies, but the Total War games have elements of turn-based strategies like Civilization so I gave 'em a chance. I'm just not that big on Rome. :?

IF you like turn-based strategy, then you can always play the battle in Auto mode, hoping that the computer knows what it is doing, but you give up from a pretty good fun, besides if you have shortage of people and you decide to attack in the automatic mode, you risk an embarrassing defeat but when you choose to lead attack personally, and you have a talent for command you can have glorious victory.

There is a French mod for M2TW which recreates the American Civil War.

But I did not know if it would do well to do once I had the game about World War II. Once I played the game "War Leaders: Clash of Nations" was pretty good but a series of "Total War" is a whole lot better. The game does not have to be about the twentieth century, could be the Franco-Prussian War or the American Civil War. Many argue that is impossible to adapt game engine, to the realities of the modern battlefield for me it is no argument. Innovation in video games is the key to success. Once, no one dreamed that in a series of "Total War" will be simulated sea battles, and yet the impossible become possible. So why could not simulate the modern battlefield, I agree it would not be the same "Total War", but if not we would get in return for something fresh. I'm sure that would have liked it by all of history maniac :D
