Came across an interesting article on how the new hit L.A. Noire could be helpful in helping those with asperger's syndrome sense who is lying and who is telling the truth.

The link is here

I never considered to get this game but after this, i may consider getting it.

I just read the same article on joystiq -- guess I'm going to have to get a new xbox360 (old one RROD'd on me). I'm actually really interested in playing the game and seeing if I can read the faces. Was actually not considering the game before the article because of having to read the faces and trying to determine if the person was lying or not.

I had my doubts about this game, too. Because of my AS. I may have to pick it up now.

What they should have done is have one of the people you question have AS and there expresion does not change. Making them very hard to read. Then it would show NTs how hard it is for people with AS.

Interesting. Just bought the game myself. Depending on how far I get, I'll have to report on it.

I didn't really care for the game until my friend showed me this over on facebook. The graphics are what you'd expect from any current gen game to have(pretty bad in comparison to the newer pc games), but the facial expressions.

DEM FACIAL EXPRESSIONS.

Heh, yeah, a colleague showed me the trailer for LA Noire and it immediately struck me for that reason. Though there was this:
Colleague: "The facial expressions are really good, you can see what someone's thinking, see if they're lying..."
Me (thinks): Mmm, but they're all lying, they're acting... :)
Looks interesting, anyhoo.
