Thought about it, but meh.

Right now im just really upset at the games nowadays, nothing but multiplayer focus anymore. Really wish there were some really good "atmospherically scary" mods for oblivion or HL1:EP1 (cant get ep 2, no money, else id be downloading nightmare house 2 among a few other mods.

Id make my own oblivion mod, but I fail at modeling and texture manipulation and such :/

got plenty of ideas for it though.

I've considered it before but the problem is that I'm too oriented on the gameplay elements I'd like to see and the kind of level design I'd want but horrible at script writing, actual design (I have ideas but I'm not a graphic artist), and cannot do a single line of code. All those tend to be hindrances on such an undertaking.

Too late, I already have.

I wouldn't want to go pro though. You have to move away, and most of my friends who went pro kind of hate it...but it depends on where you work, I guess.

sorta similar to my issue. I USED to know all the coding stuff, but I can't find an easy refresher course :/ Yes, my main issue is remembering functions and such, yet I KNOW HOW to code. Similar happens when I am hooking up a wireless network, I won't remember the HOWS, I got to constantly remind myself how to do it all.

A lot of times...

I have seen all of those RPG Maker games and well... Sometimes I think that maybe it would be cool to make a fangame or something...

I've done some work with RPG Maker before. It takes a lot of time and effort though. I'm moderately good with scripting events and map layout and story writing.
Can't really do custom graphics or music though. Raw coding is something I can't do either. I'll leave that to people who know what they're doing.
I've made a roughly four hour game with RPG Maker XP and probably the most I'll ever do with it since I've kind of dropped the project.

I'm kind of waiting till Stencyl goes public beta before trying my hand at game making again. I hear the engine is supposed to pretty good but it's still private beta right now.
Then again, that's all for 2D gaming. I no experience with 3D game making.

Some day I want to make a really unique game. A game with a world to explore, that allows the player a chance to adapt to and explore that world without feeling lost or constantly having to defend against attack. I will never make anything for the commercial mass market.

Eh I know I'm not capable of the comprehension of programming language. I would gladly come up with a story, characters, etc.

I have an awesome concept idea for a game. Thinking of the story constantly excites me... but alas I am one person and would never be given the time of day to direct a team in making it. I would also run into issues due to I don't work too well with others and it's not something I could do alone. I'd have to be able to work with a group of people with similar minds and enthusiasm. I highly doubt there's a team like that for me... so I'll probably just keep on dreaming.

There's also the issue with game companies not wanting to take risks on new ideas or wanting the new idea to be produced in a ridiculously short period of time. A great game takes care and most game companies don't seem to know that. I like how Valve does things. Take 6 years and make something damn awesome :)

There are obvious problems in just me making a game... I'm just an artist and hate script and coding

Maybe I'll just make the idea into a graphic novel and maybe some day it'll become a game
