I have an old console, and I like to hook it up from time to time to play Mario. I love firing up the ol' bong and playing some classic games. Someone should make a mod that somehow combines the two activities.

Wait, somebody beat me to it.

Anyway, I just mentioned that cause I'm enthused over prop 19.

Seriously, anybody like Zelda and all that awesome old stuff?

I mean, I'm happy to have new, modern games. Don't get me wrong, but the classics are what started it all, and i'm a total nostalgia freak when it comes to old games.

I possess a working Super Nintendo. I like to play it for nostalgia...the original Super Mario games were the best, in my opinion. I am also fond anything related to The Legend of Zelda.

Super Mario 2

Little Nemo in DreamLand

Zelda

Kirby

Those are my top four favorite old school NES games. I would play them for hours. I use to get so upset whenever the NES would over heat. Good times, good times.

I wish I could find Emulators that worked right on my computer.

I haven't play the old Nintendo in a while. I did last month for a few minutes when I got a NES game from the Expo Gaming event. I am also glad they are releasing them on the Wii shop channel. But I find the old games to be the hardest like Zelda. Now it seems like games have gotten easier over the years.

Only have been playing that stuff on emulators these days. :(

Oh well, at least I can still play them, on the TV even!

I like classic Mario, Starfox & Zelda games best... and Tetris (obviously) I don't really want to buy a Wii, but i'm going to buy one so I can download the classics

I have a SNES lying around somewhere.
The colours in Super Mario All-Stars hurt my eyes. :(
I like the classics "Super Mario Bros 3" and "Super Mario World" too.

Seriously... You gotta love the NES. It created some of the best gaming moments in history. Like finally beating Battletoads (Damn Battletoads), or when you realised you were fighting hitler in Bionic Commando, or when you beat Contra without using the "Konami Code" (and no body believed you). or when you finally finished LOZ. I could keep going on about how the NES is freaking awesome but then I'd fail my landing in top gun. Btw prop 19 failed o_O

I really like classic NES and SNES games, but they look terrible on an HDTV unless you're playing them on the Nintendo Wii in 480p resolution.

What kind of computer do you have? For the most basic PC at least, NEStopia works just fine; I speak from experience using it on the most stripped-down computers possible. I have no experience on other platforms, but if you google "NES emulators for [insert platform here] you'll get a nice pile of lists.

Back on topic, the NES was certainly amazing. I would have one right now but I don't want to sell my 64 and my parents won't let me have two consoles for my one television.

I also love classic Nintendo, as well. I enjoy Super Mario Bros 1, 2 and 3 and I also enjoy Duck Hunt.

I played Super Mario Bros 4 (NES). It was totally underground and almost everything in the game was green and brown. It was trippy as hell and I don't think it was a legitimate Nintendo release. My mom found it at a flee market when I was little. The game had a dark vibe to it, the same equivalent The Dark Knight has to the rest of the Batman movies. I guess it was some Asian drug lords side project, when he was bored cooking Meth.
But it was a good game, not sure it had story but it had content.
Mario went to a lot of weird places and there were no mushrooms nor clouds. Think it was some kind of forest/futuristic city theme....
