I play different versions of Harvest Moon on my Wii and Nintendo DS. They are farming games and you also pick the virtual bachelor/bachelorette to have a virtual family with. Besides growing crops and raising livestock, you can also fish, mine and try to win at the town festivals.

Also, it's unbeliavably addicting.

I used to play the PlayStation version, Harvest Moon: Back to Nature. By the end of the first year, my house was expanded and, in the following Spring, I was married. And there were still many things left to do.

A Wonderful Life is one of my all time favorite games. It holds so many fond memories! :D I never got far in it though because my memory card was corruption-prone so I had to keep starting over. I had gotten halfway through year two once, though. I enjoyed looking up all the different features and wondering how they put so many small details in one game. I mean, it had farming, fishing, town events, marriage, aging, a son (or daughter in the special editions), different animals, and all sorts of neat things! It even had a plant that would combine two seeds into a hybrid seed. 8)
