I used to love the old Spyro the Dragon games for PS1 (Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage/Gateway to Glimmer and Spyro Year of the Dragon.) I just started playing them again, and man the bosses are hard! Some bits of these games are so hard to play as well. Does anyone else love these games and know that they're not your typical easy kid game? :D

I haven't played any of them in probably 10 years, but when I was little I loved the first and third Spyro games (never had the 2nd), and played them a lot. Maybe sometime I'll play them again. 8)

Yeah, I used to looooove those. I would play them again and again. :) I also liked Croc, but I found it a little harder. Despite the cartoony graphics, they weren't easy children's games. I would probably still play them if I still had easy access to a TV and a PS. :D Maybe one day when I have some money, I'll be able to get them again.

BTW, were you as disappointed as I was when the game creators changed? I tried playing The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning and it just wasn't the same. I felt like the entire game mechanic changed. :( Oh well, though! The first three were still great and that never changes!

Yes!! ! I was so disappointed, I love the first three and everything after those was a disappointment, although I quite liked Spyro: Shadow Legacy, even though it didn't feel very Spyro-y. :D

The first Spyro was one of my first video games ever, excluding edutainment games. I have it on the PSN now and it sure is nostalgic. I was surprised to learn it was by Insomniac games, the people behind Ratchet & Clank and Resistance, because I never payed attention to developers back then. (Lots of nostalgia on these forums today... Harvest Moon AND Spyro?! :D )

I didn't pay attention to them either... but when I was so disappointed by the later Spyro games, I wanted to figure out what had happened. So, of course, I spent time looking it up. xD That's when I learned that the developers were different.

I really liked Ratchet and Clank too, but never got a chance to play those games much. I guess I'll have to add that series to my list of games to play too. :D Too many games to play, too little time!
