It seems like almost every single time I have brought up blackjack people say a bunch of stuff that they have just learned from movies. I will say that with blackjack if you count cards then you can actually get an edge on the casinos.
Yeah but that is illegal- no it is not
But you can not do it with teams and that is the only way to make money- teams is a grey area and it is not the only way to make money, it is a good way to make money on shoes (6 or 8 decks)
That only works on single decks which you cannot find anymore- double decks also work fairly well and you can sometimes find single decks too.
The casino's will beat you up if you are caught- No, then they would get sued. People that are good at card counting are not noticable only bad card counters are obvious.
Casinos would not have blackjack if they could lose money- Because people think they can win money on it that is why they play it. Most people have no idea what they are doing (don't even go by basic strategy), so because of that casinos make a lot of money from it.
I could probably think of some more.
I guess because I am not old enough to go into most casinos that means I don't know what I am talking about.
