So I read a few and was not that impressed but there are so many books to read! I was wondering if anyone knew any good books in Skyrim and if you do please name one or however many you please. I will get back to this post soon... Have to clear out a barrel full of a couple hundred books, and read them.

There are some funny ones you can come across, but for the most part there are historical biographies, novels, and lore.

I don't usually read the books that are actual short stories. The historiy/lore etc kind of books can be quite interesting though. You can actually read all of the books from all the games on some different web pages. If you're interested I would recommend UESPwiki

beggar, theif, warrior and king all made me laugh.

(They were the first and only books I read, and they were all hilarious)

I'm considering making a new character and reading each book I find right then and there.

The lusty argonian maid is a pretty good one. ;)

Hum, seriously, perhaps if you don't really know arena/daggerfall/morrowind/oblivion you should consider read biographies etc..., but most are not really interesting in my opinion, even if some are funnies. Plus I hate the font they use. >.<

I found one that had riddles. Those were nice, but simply adapted from 'real life' riddles.

I heard about the lusty argonian, I remember stealing it in Riften The Bee and The Barb a couple times on past playthroughs... Never read it though. I think I will soon! I was reading a book I found in the thieves guild, I forget the name, but it was about terminology of thieving I believe, and it made me giggle...

There are two volumes to The Lusty Argonian Maid ;) I read every book. It's part OCD and part I'm obsessed with finding all the skill books (does that make it ALL OCD at that point?) The Yellow Riddles Book is funny. I like to pay the bards to play Regnar the Red. Ever listen to the songs the bards sing? Regnar the Red is funny. He gets drunk and boastful and then can't pay the tab so the bar maiden cuts off his head LOL
