I like text games. The most I've seen online on this one is 143 players.

On the less unknown side, but still not well known, Secret of Evermore for the SNES. I like the story, gameplay, environments, music... Pretty much everything about it!

Earth Bound is kind of an odd game.

I don't quite understand it, but I do like Ness a lot.

I have it on my laptop.

I love EarthBound too as well as Chameleon Twist for the N64. It's a short game but I liked playing it when I was younger and a lot of people don't know about it.

Yep, I own 1 and 2. I must say I prefer 2 because of the battle system.

I prefered 1, but when I played it I was just a young kid. Battles were very difficult but the monsters were better and the story was better (blew my mind how dark it was at the time, people dying left and right, stone sickness, allies turning on you and all the rest). Went back and played it a few months ago. Really easy, basic combat, good story but not so much depth. Second is definitely better, despite the inconsistencies in the plot that really bugged me at the time.

Lol what is that supposed to mean?

These games are mostly pretty old. Anyone know of any modern, unknown games?

Another game I've played was Folklore. Seemed kind of obscure. Was quite fun.

Yeah, no question. I seem to remember there being a bigger variety of monsters in JC1 (I honestly don't completely remember if this was the case), but JC2 was a bit faster. I remember fusing several monsters in the first game and getting this one that blew through the last dungeon like it was nothing.

One really small thing I thought was interesting about JC2 was that Levant, the silent protagonist from the first game, showed up in the second and actually had some lines! 8O

I really liked the game "Metal Arms: Glitch In The System" and i don`t think it ever went big. Its a third person shooter, some RPG mixed in to the game (Think weapon upgrade aka Ratchet & Clank), vehicle combat, real fun split screen gameplay and a great story!

I don`t know why it didn`t get popular. They really should make a sequel for the PS3/Xbox 360.

Took me completely by surprise since everything else in the game was different (monsters, forests, story). Was better when there were just a couple of badass monster hunters around. 2nd game was filled with 12-15 year olds. I think the main was about 6-8.

I never finished either of them as a kid. I pretty much did a low-level run because I could run past everything and what I really wanted to see was the story. So from the second forest on regular battles would be life or death for me. I remember it used to take all three of my monsters + Levant (protagonist) to bring down one of the tougher monsters in whatever the next forest was. I'm surprised I made it all the way to the final boss like that.

It means "I love earth bound" has absolutely nothing to do with "A TON OF UNKNOWN GAMES"

What amuses me is the thread is unknown games but so far I think Jessi is the only one to catch me out with Vampire Night :P (Although I've played Haunting Grounds and Sanitarium)

Hmm... let me think... I'd have to say Metropolismania 2. Okay, it may be known better in the states but as it never reached the UK and it was an (obviously from seeing it) low budget title, it's not known over here at all :D

It definitely for someone who likes games such as Sim City without the stresses of running out of money.

Also if we're going for REALLY unknown titles, I'll offer up London Cab Challenge.. the thread says it has to be unknown, not that it has to be good ;) this is probably the worst game I've had the misfortune to play. Imagine playing what you'd imaging playing a British version of Crazy Taxi, now imagine doing it in an VERY early Beta and flat terrain. That pretty much describes this game.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk8qbSISQI4 here's some gameplay, I hate to say it but this is footage of the finished product, and it's on the Playstation 2.
