Play a video game recently? Have an opinion about it? Share said opinion with your fellow WP members and prevent them from wasting $50 on a lame game and steer them towards pure awesomeness! Here's how it works, first: State the name of the game, what Platform('s) it's for, then rate the game from -10, which is absolute donkey dung, to +10, which is the most awesome peace of awesome to ever been programmed. Then right a short (as in less then a book's worth of words) review of it. Oh, and no spoilers please :D

Not the best game I have ever played, but certainly not the worst. When I got it I was expecting something similar to Mass Effect, so I was a little disappointed to find out that is was more action game with RPG elements then an RPG with action elements. But the game play offset that mild disappointed (hint: look for and use air ducts, they're there for a reason). The graphics were fairly good, except the NPC's are always twitching (they bob there heads and make random hand gesture for no reason). All in all, fairly good and challenging game, just not to much of a story, and no where near enough side quests.

Have you played the original? That's a good one.

No, I doubt I would be able to get past the graphics to enjoy the game :?

Not my favorite game, and it is a bit challenging. Sometimes I can't do something fast enough, and I end up dying and restarting the level. But what I've played of it so far, it has a really good story.

One of the better RPG's I have ever played, a bit better then Fallout 3 in some ways (graphics, and scenery mainly), worse in others (some of the side quests weren't as good, and I missed having Three Dog talking about my exploits, lol). I liked that you could pick from several sides near the end (I sided with the NCR). I especially liked that you could customize your guns (a feature that could still use some improvement, and I would like to be able to customize my armor), something that Fallout 3 was lacking. Like Fallout 3, it didn't have the most involving story (unlike Mass Effect), but it was still a very fun game. So all in all, a great addition to the Fallout series.

Radiant Silvergun Works with: Arcade (Japan only), Sega Saturn (Japan only), and Xbox 360. +6. Originally released in 1998, one of the most appreciated Shmup's of all time has finally come stateside. It is clearly one of the finest vertical-scrolling shooters ever created (Treasure Co. Ltd. made it, after all.) The graphics have been remastered in high definition for gamers today, though purists can opt for the old-school look. Radiant Silvergun is as gorgeous as Shmup's get, and all of the music from the arcade version is intact and sounds incredible. In no way is the game ever cheap. Every time you die it is the player's error. You have all six weapons from the start, instead of having to find power-up capsules common to Shmup's. These weapons are initially very weak when you first begin playing, and you will see the Game Over screen - a lot. However, players who perservere will gain experience points that power up your weapons every time you get a kill with them. Sticking through the game to its conclusion will bring a sense of true satisfaction to the player. If you consider yourself a hardcore gamer, you owe it it yourself to make Radiant Silvergun a part of your gaming library.
