And that is all.

Though a trailer is coming next week, if 11/2/11 means the American date (since it's 2/11/11 here).

I wonder how it will compare to Saint's Row 3, because right now, I prefer it over what GTA V might be like.

There are speculations that the game will be about a Vietnam Vet in Las Vegas (Or city based on Vegas) in the 70`s

Or a story based in San Andreas again.

But remember, its all speculation.

I hear it might take place in DC based on how the V in the logo has the styling of a dollar bill.

Uh oh. A game about committing crimes in the US capitol coming out during a major election year? Can't wait to hear what the politicians are going to complain about this time.

It's most likely going to be set in Hollywood or Vice City. In March, Rockstar's parent company Take-Two held acting auditions for an unnamed project, the casting call for which provided details for a selection of characters, including mobsters, movie agents and wannabe starlets. It makes me think it will be in a Hollywood setting but Vice City was also based around the 80's glam, glitz and movie industry.

Hopefully there will be a return of hidden packages and the general silliness of old. 4 became quite boring game play wise after the initial awe of the graphics. I've pre ordered Saints Row 3 as the others were fun like the older gta's

Bumpity-bump! Here is the official debut trailer that was released today. I downloaded it and uploaded it.

It looks alot more colourful than its gritty predecessor. I think this one is modelled on Los Angeles or San Andreas. It also looks as if you can fly planes and maybe jets :D

Yep, that's a confirmed by the Vinewood sign so we definitely know it's going to be around Central Los Angeles and Hollywood, however I'm hoping it will also feature Las Vegas and Fransisco themed cities.

Yep, hopefully if they can combine the physics and game play of GTA IV with the scope and customization of San Andreas or Saints row, I think it will be a winner. They need to bring back dirt bikes, quad bikes, car customization, haircuts, tattoos, clothing, girlfriends, robberies, nitro, jet packs, jet fighter planes, tanks, gyms, martial arts, gangs, gambling, chainsaws, mini guns and property. The mini games should definitely be centered around criminal activities like Saints Row rather than darts and bowling.

My only concern is the game will be too politically correct since San Andreas got banned in countries like Australia. The game isn't as vulgar or humorous as it once was and this is also probably to do with political backlash.

Agreed.

Only major complaint I had with IV was they removed a lot of the features I really liked about San Andreas. Other than that it was really good.

I don't know about the humor. Some of it worked in IV and some of it didn't. Some of their 'jokes' just weren't to my taste. Overall the story seemed 'good enough' to me, if a little short.

I tried playing IV. The Atmosphere was so dark, dull and boring so i quit. Haven't touched it since.

San Andreas on the other hand... played it just this week. It's colourful, it's 3 cities, its housebuying, filling 'em with cars/bikes and radiostation with good music in it. GTA IV was a downgrade from this.

G4WL and the rest of the online integration s**t made the game even less fun... Unless there is coop/P2P mode - why the f**k would i want to go online in a game like GTA?

You didn't have to go online if you didn't want to... it doesn't take anything away from the game.

I didn't do that either, it just pisses me off that you have to install a bunch of things that is exclusively for online features and pops up . It's an offline game so why bother at all? If i want to patch i'll get it myself. If i want to log achievements, i'd get a lobotomy and an XBox 360. That is one reason why i stopped at San Andreas (The main thing was that SA was a billion times more fun and GTA4 was basically a GTA-3 copy with a new story and better graphics - which V also is).

Why not GTA - London? Paris? Moscow? Singapore?

I must admit some of the missions did feel a bit repetitive in IV, however it did have moments but overall it does fall short compared to San Andreas and games like Red Dead Redemption in story in terms of story climax. I remember in San Andreas the climax building up to when you get betrayed by Big Smoke or when you reclaim your hood, I didn't felt IV had the same impact.

I think the physics are great in IV but I'd still have to say it was an unfinished game. I remember playing San Andreas or Vice City and being really excited about unlocking the next area of the map, I wasn't hugely impressed with the map in IV. I also felt with the dark, gritty atmosphere of Grand theft Auto, they could have made it more dark, brutal and violent like the New York City in Max Payne, I felt they should have emphasized more on the Niko vengeance theme. Sometimes the map and life simulation activities made me feel more like I was playing a videogame version of Friends instead of Grand Theft Auto.

You don't need the updates if you don't want them. When it comes up just press circle/cancel. Works for me..
