No people, you are not dreaming. This is a new game for the Nintendo DS called Pokemon + Nobunaga's Ambition. It'll be coming to Japan next year in 2012. If you guys don't know what this is, this is basically a crossover game between 2 franchises, Pokemon (which I'm pretty sure alot of us might know about by now) and Nobunaga's Ambition. But still, I'm sure some of you guys have no clue what are these 2 franchises are. So I might aswell do the best I can to explain to you guys.

For Nobunaga's Ambition, I know very little about this game series but from what I learned, it's basically a tactical video game, the kind that is all about command and conquer and is supposedly the mind-challenging kind, setting in Feudal Era Japan where you control Oda Nobunaga as he builds his army to conquer Japan. Anyway that's all I know. I know that the games have had some success in the US so I don't know if any of you play them. As for Pokemon, well it's difficult to say what kind game franchise it is but I guess I can say it's all about capturing, collecting and battling. If you are interested in getting into video games, Pokemon's a good place to start. The creator of Pokemon, Satoshi Tajiri, happens to be an Aspie like alot of us, but then again, you all might've have known this by now. In fact, Pokemon was derived from his childhood Aspie obsession: catching and collecting insects. So to put it in simple terms, Pokemon is a very Aspie-friendly video game. It also involves plenty of strategy so this might give the head a good workout. Plus, you don't actually have to be a kid to play Pokemon. While the games and stuff are mainly aimed for kids, there are billions of teen and adult fans all over the world, Including myself. In fact, the teen and adult Pokemon fandom is so huge, The Pokemon Company has rcognised us and has done some stuff for us too. I don't know if any of you are Pokemon fans but I hope I'm not the only Aspie fan here.

Anyway, sound out your comments below. Personally, I am a little torn out of this. On one hand, this is a dream come true for me. But on the other hand, I don't know if this will work. Nobunaga's Ambition is aimed for teens and adults while Pokemon is widely received among everyone. From the trailer above, it looks to be a good game but we'll see just how. But for me, without holding my feelings about this, here are my thoughts: GET THIS FREAKING GAME LOCALIZED IN THE U.S.! I FREAKING WANT THIS GAME BADLY! Yeah I might be spamming here but I can't help myself. It looks too good.

You don't have to explain what Pokemon is to a video game forum.

I know. But when I wanted to talk about comics, very few knew and most weren't interested. Sorry but I don't know exactly what you guys like. BTW what are your thoughts on this game?

I don't have an opinion. I haven't played a Nobunaga game since I was like 7, and while I can see why Pokemon would be appealing for some people, it's not for me. I don't want to have to memorize a big chart of what Pokemon types are weak/strong versus other types.

This game looks AWESOME! ^^ I need to try it. I hope they'll release it here. I love when they cross over things, like with Phoenix Wright and Professor Layton. :p

Pokemon doesn't require strategy... easiest game I've ever played. Most of the time the team is overpowered, and when it's not it's easy to get a type advantage. And what does "aspie-friendly" even mean lol.

Anyway it seems like an odd mix. Pokemon + feudal japanese warriors. Strange choice for a crossover but it looks like it could be a lot of fun. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Is this for DS or 3DS? It looks like it will work very much like Advance Wars. The graphics in the trailer also look a little ugly :(

Well I admit it's easy to play but not unless if you're up against strong NPCs and stronger Players. And when I meant by Aspie-friendly, I meant by the fact that this game was made based on an fellow Aspie's obsession. I mean I'm sure there are others who love collecting things and catching insects and little critter. There are such people like that aside from Tajiri-san. And yes, this is for the DS. Also, another thing to note. The guys who made Nobunaga's Ambition also did Dynasty Warriors. But then again, I'm pretty sure you already knew that.

I didn't know that, though I did note that characters in both games feature similarly ridiculous costumes.
