Was anyone on here a fan of this NES classic? It was like the Legend of Zelda in the South Pacific, and aboard a spaceship.

This was one of my favorite NES games. I didn't really care for Startropics 2: Zoda's Revenge, though.

I definitely think they should do a Wii or DS remake of this game.

Yeah I played it. I think it was the only game I bought but just seeing it in the store and buying it knowing nothing about it. I never finished it. I got stuck on the last dungeon of level 6, but I came back years later and finished that and got to the next one but didn't keep playing.

Good game. I think I got stuck on the spaceship level and never finished it.

It is available for Virtual Console download though! I bought it about a year ago and have been off and on with it. It definitely resembles The Legend Of Zelda to some effect, I will vouch for that... but a little less easy to control on which I can place blame for many a frustrating loss. Still good though.

Oh man, I remember that the original NES version had this security feature midway through where you had to soak this envelope that came with the game in water, and enter this code that appeared. I remember some puzzle involving a pipe organ, and piloting a submarine an archipelago looking for dive spots and such. I also remember a whale escape level, and a section where you had to disguis yourself as a girl to get a better yoyo weapon.

Incidentally, years later I bought a huge, heavy wooden yoyo because it reminded me of the game and triggered some nostalgia.
