3 questions.
Which Half-LIfe 2 version looks the best?
Around what year computer would the Wii U be high end for?
What games have a graphics style which ages well (i.e. Wind-Waker, top-of-line 2D graphics, etc.)?
Like Halo was amazing for its time technically, but obviously looks outdated today due to its straightforward approach.

- Half-Life 2 on the PC is the best if you've got one. The game came out in 2005 so it doesn't need to be top of the line to max out the graphics.
- The Wii U uses a GPU based on the radeon 4000 series, which started coming out in 2008. So we're looking at technology that's newer than the PS3/Xbox 360 but older than standard gaming PC's.
- That'll really be a matter of opinion. My two cents? It depends how the game was made. I never played Grim Fandango for instance, but the pre-rendered environments in that game were so impressive I couldn't help but smile when I saw a video of it. Also, games that have cell shading hold up pretty well to the ravages of time, like the Zelda game you mentioned or Borderlands. (Admittedly the constant brown desert backdrop never looked good but the modeling on NPC's and weapons won't seem ugly for a while.) Really, any game that didn't break ground with the first ever 3D graphics will age fairly well. Looking at some PS1 and N64 games these days is painful. This could also extend to every game that releases soon after a new console generation, when developers haven't had a chance to unlock the potential of the system.
