I also like PainKiller(solo). For some reason Im not a fan of Skyrim, or Oblivion(I like Witcher Series Better) Dont get me wrong I have Oblivion and Skyrim and play a bit but their not my favorite. I also seem to like Legend of Zelda(N64), Gothic Series, Drakensang and Thief Series.
With that said anyone enjoy the games mentioned above?

I actually have an untouched copy of the Witcher 2 sitting right behind me, really don't know if I should try playing the first Witcher first though.

By the way, love the avatar, RK is a great manga.

I didn't really like Daggerdale. Oblivion was meh, I couldn't really get into it. I really liked Skyrim though, I thought it looked beautiful and it was fun to explore the world, and the dragon shout were cool. As of now, I've put in around 120 hours into Skyrim. I've moved on, but come back to Skyrim once in a while.

I really want to get the Witcher 2, though, but I need money!

also be warned dont use laptops for witcher series I seem to notice theirs tons of lag if used! I dont know why this is considering most people I know who play(and thats only a handful of people) use uptodate modern laptops and they seem to suffer severe lag like mine does but on the regular pc no problem. :)

If you haven't played the first one, you could just watch the cut scenes to get the hang of the story.

Great game, very dynamic when it comes to the storyline and game dialogue which makes a good alternative experience to a corridor shooter or linear role playing game. It's also more story driven and it has great character development. It's definitely got great re playability as well, a game that needs a few runs like Dragon Age origins.

That's good to know. I do have a gaming laptop, but I'll probably get it for 360.

Ya I havent played it on 360 yet but I suppose its a good game and works better? I know my laptop crashes sometimes because of lag do to the game. I dont know if its because its from a forein company or what? I know I meet the minimum and most of the recommeneded settings for my laptop. However on my dads Asus which is better then mine it wont play at all, says it doesnt meet the minimum requirements?
Its an ASUS brand and I checked the requirements and it beats my laptop easily when it comes to those requirements? Yet it wont play at all? Heck it wont play Thief Series or L4D series and those are older then Witcher Series.(refierring to my dads computer not my lappy)

You don't need to play the first one to get a handle on the plot. A lot of the atmosphere comes from characters describing political events and faraway places that you'd only know about if you read the books to begin with. I never did, but I've enjoyed both Witcher games, the second one especially. It's one of the few games I've replayed immediately after finishing it. Based on what you do in Act 1, the second part can completely change and several important plot elements can help fill in the overall story.

Now's the best time to play the Witcher 2 because the enhanced edition features a more fleshed out final chapter. The dialogue and settings are fantastic, give it a try and see for yourself; you'll be immersed.

I havent made it through to the end ofthe Witcher 2 but itseems that theirs multiple possible endings/outcomes? Idont know are these cheat codes?
As for the books Idont understand Polish, however do they have themin English?
Also whydo laptops have trouble running the Witcher 2 when it doesnt haveany warnings saying not supported on Laptops, likethe first Witcher does but ironically runs better then the Witcher 2? I have the requirements forthe games....sodon manyIknow who cant play it?Yet it works fine on MOST(not all) regular computers. My dads wont play it at all saying insuffeicnt doesnt meet requirements for either one yet my dads computer BEATS my computer when it comes to the requirements?

It's not that Witcher 2 won't run on a laptop, although slow response makes it harder, it's that driving the interface properly needs three buttons and mouse movement and a handful of keys all at the same time. Laptops make it hard.
