I used to enjoy the whole trilogy but now I can't even stand playing the first game anymore. I played the first game again and throughout the entire thing I have faced numerous save data failures.
Megaman Starforce Leo:
-Please re-insert the game cartridge.
-Save failed. Try Again?
Yes No
-Initializing backup data...

That third one deleted my entire file leaving only "New Game" available. One time, I wanted to continue my 100% beat game so I could challenge 4000 HP Andromeda again but when I hit "Continue," I got a message saying it detected save file corruption and it deleted the whole thing forcing me to start a new game. I bought a "backup" copy of the version I already have but will I face the same dilemma again? The other cartridge also contained a brotherband to a Pegasus version and I don't want to mess that up because how often do I get to have fun with a new starforce form?

I also indeed use Action Replay codes because that's my thing.
If the Action Replay codes are responsible, then how is it that I've had both the game and my AR for years and this starts happening in recent months?

I have experienced similar problems with other games, but I don't have any good advice. I have a Megaman "collection" disc for PS2, and although the cd is quite pristine, it flat-out refuses to run any of the Megaman X games. Infuriating...

I have the classic Megaman Collection on Xbox and it works fine. As for Starforce, I wonder if it's the game, the AR, or my DS itself. The Save Data corruption usually happens if any part is slightly out of place at the moment. I kept trying to make sure it was all in perfectly. I even tried to make sure that I didn't move around a lot while holding the DS. Even when the DS detects the AR and even when the AR detects the game, it still happens and I'm at a loss. I never did make any brotherbands on those games because what if I wanted to start a new game or what if the save data corrupts like it did and I never see those brotherbands again? If you played the first game, you'd know the reference I just made. I'm just happy later installments came with two save files.
