Hi,

Just seeing if anyone else here like RPG games. They're my favorites.

I love the Zelda series (I have a tatoo of it).

And I love the 'Tales...' series as well, My favorite is Tales of Vesperia, I'm going to get a tatoo of that sometime soon I hope.

Anyone else like these games or these sort of games?

My faves too. Along with tabletop pen & paper style as well.

I tend to like rather simple RPGs (i can bear with the pen & paper genre, but uh...i don't like making all those calculations, although i think i understand them a bit better than i used to).

I want my cookie! That's obviously a misspelling of Fainaru Fantajii, which is Engrish for Final Fantasy!

Anyway, I like the Final Fantasy games, and of them, I like 6 the best. I also like KotOR, Oblivion, Chrono Trigger, and Panzer Dragoon Saga.

I have a really good table top group that I play with--almost all diceless now.

On consoles I like Oblivion, FF XII, Fallout 3, Fable 2, etc.

Have not tried MMORPGs. Not sure if I would do well in that environment.

I like RPGs, I like a lot of the popular ones like Oblivion, KOTOR, Fable 2, Mass Effect and Fallout 3. Though I have been having trouble with Bioshock I just yesterday figured out a strategy of conserving my amunition which I was having trouble with, by useing the wrench and haveing the ability to camoflage while standing still.

I thought that I was more shooter, but I am probably am more of a RPG person.

The original Dragon Warrior for the NES was the best!

What exactly is a pen and paper RPG?

Isn't that something like Dungeons and Dragons.

Nintendo has never really boasted many RPG's in the traditional sense of the word... one I've played that I really like is one called Baten Kaitos.

Baten Kaitos was developed by Monolith Soft, it's third-party.

Nintendo does, however, make the Paper Mario, Mario & Luigi, and Pokemon games (and the Mother games...).

I see. I never really knew who created Baten Kaitos... I guess what I meant was RPG's on the Nintendo consoles.

Anyone ever played Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Sega Saturn? Incredible story taking place in the most beautiful world I've encountered in a game. And the characters truly mean something to you, so moving. Cannot be recommended enough.

I like them but don't have much time to play them now.

I started with Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny (which took me 2 years). I got faster with the later Ultimas.

I liked King's Quest VII (?) Mask of Eternity. That one crossed the line from Adventure game to RPG.

After that, I didn't play any for ages...

Then I found Neverwinter Nights ... WOW... That was brilliant.
I also played Morrowind (ok).
and Knights of the Old Republic - brilliant.
and Dungeon Siege - Pretty good.
and Oblivion - fair

I've since bought the fallout collection but haven't started, and Diablo.

My PC is rubbish, has an intel graphics card, so I can't play anything high end - otherwise I'd be playing Neverwinter Nights 2.... (sigh).

Does anyone else know of great RPGs similar to the original NWN which don't need a great video card?
