So, a few days ago, Kingdom Hearts II was released in America, a very hyped-up sequel to the Game Boy Advance game "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories". If you've been living in a cave for the past three years, the Kingdom Hearts series is basically the uncanny fusion of Final Fantasy and Disney characters in a huge Action RPG game. So what if this game has cheesy Disney characters, its quite good.

So, anyways, Kingdom Hearts II. I won't divulge any of the storyline, but its another solid game put out by Square-Enix and BVG (which I guess is a Disney company). The graphics churned out on this game is what you expect from Square, pushing the limits of the PS2's graphic capabilities. The music is beautifully orchestrated along with the great acting. Although, KHII isn't perfect, the camera can be a little bit of a pain and so can the battle system, although a step up from the first. The storyline? Pretty solid and links the previous games perfectly.

So, if you ever get an opportunity to play, check it out. Even if you aren't a fan of Disney characters, you will probably like this game. Its released in America right now, but I'm not sure about Europe.

I've only played the first Kingdom Hearts and I thought the gummi ship flights were thoroughly unchallenging so I never bothered to modify my ship. Are KHII's gummi ship flights the same way? Also, how does Johnny Depp look?

The gummi flights are way more complex. The direction in which you shoot changes throughout gummi missions, also the gummi ship comes with a lock-on feature.

That comic is hilarious, MagicMike.

I'm really excited about this game. It's the only game that someone else I know irl likes. (In this case, my sister).

I've heard it's a good game, but I tend to stay away from things Disney.

Trust me Xuin, you're seriously missing out.

The KH series is, quite possibly, the most amazing game series on the PS2. Excellent storylines, nearly flawless gameplay, a brilliant soundtrack, and kickass fights against Sephiroth.

Hmm I wouldn't say it was that great. The difficulty could have been ramped up a lot more, for one. They should've cut down on cutscenes and focussed more on the action. The prologue section of the game was way too long and boring. The gummi ship parts were shoddy. Sora is made too powerful too early on in the game. There is too much button mashing. The game is more linear than its predecessor, since it has less to do in the way of sidequests.

But I still enjoyed it. It really isn't that long a game, for an RPG-hybrid, and it doesn't have much replayability, so you could hire it instead of buying it. You can get through the game in about 25 hours.

It's taken a while, but I've beaten the secret boss. Guess who?
