I am sure theres a few of you on here who feel the same way about collecting as I do and obsess over it a bit, so I figured I'd share my obsession with you!

Hope you enjoyed those videos, they are always out of date after a few months as I'm always getting new stuff and rearranging everything.

My two most recent purchases were Soviet Strike and Tomb Raider 1 on Sega Saturn in like new condition, got them very cheap as well which is nice.

I'd be interested in seeing others collections in here as well if you would be so kind! :)

Nice room you've got set up there. Unfortunately I just have my small bedroom so my own space is rather limited. I never even knew about the JVC X'EYE until I watched your video. The only other all in one I knew about was the multimega, and those things are just as pricey. Speaking of pricey, radiant silvergun and dragoon saga couldn't have been too cheap to come by either 8O

Yea the X'eye (aka wondermega) is even better than the CDX (Multimega) because it has a faster cd drive and improved sound quality. I think possibly it has internal memory (not sure if the CDX does). Only ddownside of the X'eye is if you put a 32x on it it makes it nearly impossible to open the disc drive at the same time, making it very difficult to play the few multi disc 32x/cd games out there. Which doesn't affect me since I own most of those types of games on the 3DO anyways.

And yea RS and PDS weren't cheap. I paid full price for Radiant Silvergun on ebay buy it now for $250, a year and a half later the xbla port got announced <_<, oh well still cool to have the original physical copy for collection sake. And Panzer Dragoon Saga I actually snagged in an ebay auction for a decent price...$170 for all black sleeves complete and mint. Which now I don't think it even sells below $300

Wouldn't surprise me if they were more reliable as well. I hear the multimega can run into some lens related issues from time to time. All of the mega cd's have some form of internal memory, I never owned one myself as most of the library doesn't seem too appealing. I hope silvergun came with the spine card as well at that price! But its always better do have the authentic release of the game, I try to avoid emulation whenever I can. However, its pretty much my only option sometimes when it comes to the SNES. The prices of the games for it in the UK are rather inflated compared to the US, think that's because the mega drive was more popular here at the time.

What games would you recommend for the saturn? I got one a while ago but only have a small bundle of games for it at the moment. Next console I want to get is a dreamcast, I got a bundle of games recently on the cheap and want to put them to good use :)

Yep it did indeed come with the spine card! I figured if I'm gonna splurge on one of the greatest shmups ever I should get it as complete and mint as possible (outside of being sealed).

As far as Saturn recommendations. If you are going for something affordable I would go for games like...

Virtua Fighter 2 (One of the best fighters on the Saturn, nuff said)
Shinobi Legions (Fast paced 2d action game with funny real actor FMVs and digitized sprites)
Legend of Oasis (great zelda clone)
Nights into Dreams (Just a classic 3d hybrid action/adventure game)
Die Hard Arcade (awesome 3d brawler with Virtua Fighter like depth)
Bug! (Quirky platformer)
Panzer Dragoon 1 and 2 (Classic rail shooters with great graphics/artwork and cool storyline)

As far as pricier titles, stuff like...

Panzer Dragoon Saga

Burning Rangers (really unique title with addicting gameplay)

Albert Odyssey (One of the few traditional 2d turn based rpgs on the system, similar to Lunar)

Magic Knight Rayearth (Another zelda like overhead rpg, based on an anime but its a great rpg even without knowing the anime, nice 2d sprite based graphics with colorful effects and tight smooth gameplay)

Dungeons and Dragons Collection (compilation of the two capcom arcade brawlers, amazing games but unfortunately in japanese, but can still be enjoyed, this is the only form they've been released in on home consoles.)

Radiant Silvergun

Thunderforce V (Another great shmup but also available on ps1 for much cheaper and more extras, but the saturn version is the original and has much better graphics)

Guardian Heroes (Great brawler with RPG elements and multiple paths but now available on XBLA with more features for cheaper)

As far as Dreamcast theres tons of classics on there as well. The sequel to Die Hard Arcade (Dynamte Cop), Shenmue, Powerstone 2, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 2, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Zombie Revenge. I could go on and on.

And Sega CD (Mega CD) has more classics than you might realize, off the top of my head...

Snatcher
Final Fight CD (Best version of Final Fight IMO, great music, only one with voice acting too)
Earthworm Jim Special Edition (Extra level not in the other versions, best CD quality music, extra frames of animation)
Lunar 1 and 2 (Arguably better than the PS1 versions due to changes they made in the storyline on ps1)
Heart of the Alien: Out of this World 1 and 2 (only system to get a sequel to Out of this World)
Silpheed (Fun shmup)
Sonic CD (One of the best Sonic games)

There's probably A few more i'm forgetting, and although yes the Sega CD has a small library of good games. With me being a Hideo Kojima fanboy, it's worth it for Snatcher alone.

Anyways, I hope this helps you get an idea of where to start with Sega collecting (Sega consoles are my fav).

Glad there's peeps on here who can appreciate the Saturn. I just added two new games to my saturn collection...Tomb Raider and Soviet Strike. So I did a bit of reorganizing of my Sega shelf.

Those tall jewel cases sure do look beautiful all lined up!

They do. I am waiting for my living arrangements to be settled before I start collecting games again. I once had over 1000 US/JP original games (mostly PS1).
