I have an idea, would anyone be interested in setting up the first autistic games development company with me? Of course it would have to be done by remote communication.

If anyone with programming, digital art or music abilities would be keen please let me know.

What kind of programming language are you thinking of?
C,C++,Java?

I guess I could help out with some coding and I can generally pick up on new languages pretty quick, not very good artistically however and haven't really done involving the creation of audio files.

how are we going to implement this though? it'll be pretty hard to do communicating through WP.

guess so, didn't really consider it since it's mostly used for trolling.

at this point mainly C# and C++ because these languages can be used on the best open source engines i can think of (unity and XNA)

Unity isnt strictly open source, well its not, but there is a free version. Also the interface is incredibly user friendly compared to some engines.

i was thinking skype actually.

When you are working remotely, IM software is pretty damn essential for these sorts of projects because often you need to transfer large files in real time.

Anyone who is serious, if you are interested PM me with your skype/msn messenger/facebook id and i will get back to you asap.

Please, no time wasters though please. I've worked with the half hearted on this sort of project before, it didnt turn out well.

thanks.

it depends largely on the skills i can recruit.

Unless i can get people with C# or C++ skills and people with 3d modelling and animation skills, that pretty much rules out third person or FPS.

If i can get someone with a basic high level language skills like actionscript or game maker language and people with photoshop abilities we could do a basic puzzle game.

The skills available will largely affect the game design options.

as an extra incentive if we can make something i propose selling it online and splitting the profits between active team members.

that sounds like a good point, but since your goal is to make a game with aspies it'll be a good idea to get some kind of concept down before people start nitpicking everything. I have a few concepts in mind though, but it really does depend on a high skill level of participants and it's nothing that I'd share in a post right here right now.

perhaps you should contact a mod and get this moved to a more tech savvy board in order to get more views.

i have ideas already but i am highly protective of my intellectual property unless there is a possibility of financial return. You will forgive me then if i dont post publically with a full high concept document. At this point, its more about guaging general interest.

Furthermore if we start a game development label a non disclosure agreement will be required.

I agree with you completely, if you decide to do anything involving interactive design please contact me immediately.

and if you want to discuss/throw around ideas please feel free to contact me via PM.

There are good possibilities around toddler apps: of course, you have to stay in the apple sort of domain because android gadgets aren't quite as easy to show to pre-verbal individuals but the doors can be left open.

I've a queue of ideas too, that I'm unwilling to give away too cheaply.
