I was wondering what everyone thinks about these kinds of games. I was looking on youtube at this game, and I loved it ! My favorite game used to be Harvest Moon, and this feels more like a simulation of the real kind of farming. It didn't look as boring at times, but has anyone played it or a previous version of it?

Well, it's only been reviewed by critics 4 times, but the metacritic score is 68, which isn't too bad at all. Ive never even heard of farming simulator before, although I don't think I would be ale to engage myself to play enough really.

I downloaded it to see what all the fuss is about

It is very popular in Germany they have sold more copies of this then Halo 4 over there apparently?!

It's ok I guess, I only have had a short play around on it so far. You can drive loads of different vehicles with various roles and equipment which you can purchase from the farm shop.

Theres a few videos of people playing the game on youtube that are worth watching as well. I haven't really delved into the game in any depth yet to recomend it or not.

Harvest Moon is what drew me to this game as well

I think Farming Simulator is fun game. For a long time i wanted to play simulation games but never really did so, then i got FS 2013 and i am having a blast. There are a lot of mistakes in the game and i don't know how much it costs but i wouldn't pay more then 10 euro.

How can they call it a simulator when the rear view mirrors are not working? Most vehicles have like 20 buttons on them visibly yet they cannot be touched. On many vehicles part of the lights are not working. When you feel like "simulating" being a farmer, you would want to use every option your vehicle has including that orange safety light. Unfortunately the farmer you control is stiff as a log, and no arms are used in first person.

Missions are kind of ruining the game. I gave up on transporting missions because it's too hard and unrewarding. Imagine driving all over the map constantly praying your cargo doesn't fall off your front loader and after 20 minutes of going 20 mph trough half of Hagensted to get 4,000$ as reward.. I can mow the golf course in 1 minute and get payed 5,000$

Of course i play on Hard. There is something really bad though about the pricing in this game. I think i collected about 50 chicken eggs and got 40$ for it, sold 5 pallets of wool for 600$ and i sold my full harvest of Canola for 5,000$. Then i mow the exact same spot i already did 300 times and within a minute i earn more than 5 full fields combined. That's sad as i spent so much time looking at my harvest, already smelling the money when it came close to harvesting time.

I am having a lot of fun trolling though, yesterday i had the best laugh in a while. My farmer went up a hill with a trailer full of Canola, i didn't pay that much attention and before i knew it my farmer was flying trough the air off a cliff and he landed unscaved with not a single canola missing.
