What Video Game Fanbase is the worst?

I remember one time writing something about my Mac laptop on a TF2 video and I kept getting replies from other gamers that were telling me to "GTFO". Not sure if it's a "video game thing" or a "console/computer thing", but I thought it was ridicules. What video game fanbase is the worse and why?

All of them ... especially if (like me) you prefer card games, board games, and tabletop role-playing games over endlessly mashing buttons and no social contact.

I'm going to say that Nintendo as of late; but only because they've been very clearly cherrypicking when it comes to user feedback, and clearly lacks any sort of communication between offices except at events.

I'd have to say the worst fanbase in video gameing is ether the Xbox Fanboys, Halo Fanboys, or Grand theft auto Fanboys.
GTA fanboys are always hateing on any and all similar games. they have to respect for games such as Saints row, Just Cuase, or Mafia.
Halo Fanboys are obsessed with their game being #1 in everything...
Xbox Fanboys are always hateing on Playstation.
hey look I love all those games, I love all those consoles, but I'm not obsessed with just one of them.

I don't pay attention to the fanboys just play old games I like. Is there much point to listneing to these fanboys.

Final Fantasy...Yep. As for particular platforms, you're always going to have have Xbox fanboys, Sony fanboys, Nintendo fanboys and PC elitists around, and I don't really think one is too much worse than the other.

When the game came out at first, it was fun as fawk.
But the community is so obnoxious that I can't play it anymore, not even alone.

I used to think Mass Effect's community was good....then the whole shitstorm happened over the ending and I lost all faith in them. Death threats....over a video game.

Fnord once again goes off in a parallel but different direction to my thoughts. Board games players can take games so very seriously as can tabletop game players. Games should be played for fun using the full range of abilities the game has to offer but not in the competitive sense for me.

I think fighting game players are the worst in that competitive sense.

The epic games/unreal fanbase is no doubt the worst of all.

Sorry. I will stop. I think it is mostly that you don't just complain about being depressed and follow trends on here constantly. Amazing the parallels on this forum to normal society...

*shrug* Capcom seems to be getting a bad rap lately.....

Some pokemon fans can be annoying, and there are two major sides on this issue. One side likes the newer generations of Pokemon. While the other side only likes the 1st generation, and denies any existence outside of the " original 151 " granted, that side grew up on the original games. * quite a few admit they like simply because of a nostalgic feeling *

Yeah, true, true. I miss the days of the original 150....

I do too, because I could at least remember them.

The achievement whores on the XBox 360 are the worst fanboys I can think of.

They somehow think that spending a month or two cheating (oops, I forgot, it's called "boosting") to get the "Seriously" achievements on "Gears of War" makes them superior gamers.

I do a boosting session once in a while, but I see it for what it is, and I don't think of myself as a better gamer because of it.
