good wii games in my opinion
well theres obviously the mario and zelda games they are always good
Muramasa the demon blade
Little king's story
Pandora's tower
Xenoblade, if you can stand a game with what feels like a million side quests
the last story
i also quite like Fragile dreams but i'll warn you right now that it is probably the most depressing game i have ever played, it is good but depressing

as for the wii u it's to early to tell, when the wii first came out i thought it was going to just destroy the xbox 360 and ps3 i could not have predicted at that time that every publisher working on the thing would see the success of wii sports and then do nothing but push out their own versions of it trying to cash in on it's success instead of making actual games.

but nintendo does tend to learn from their mistakes very easily unlike other companies (i'm looking at you sony) so i personal think it will be worth it

i work for game stop so i know a thing or two about systems and what games are the best. i personally own a wii and love it. if you tell me what kind of things you like i will gladly name some games that you will like and im always right on the button when i help people find good games.

as far as the wii U it will most definatly be worth it i have personally played it and i love it. is it going to be worth the 300 or the 350 bucks depending on what one you get. they are making it so you will be able to get the top name games like COD, and many many more plus still the all time famous mario games. The system will be using the same wii remotes as long as its wii plus, and has a new option of the tv tablet as a game controller so one person can play and watch on the tv while another plays and watches it on the tablet or so you can have someone watch regular tv while another person plays on the tablet. if you would like i can name what they think are going to be the top name games for the system.

so i hope this helps you out if you have any more questions please feel free to ask me here or PM me.

Its most definitely worth it in my opinion. Especially right now were you can pick up a used console very cheaply and stores will most likely be trying to clear out their excess stock soon with 3 for 2 offers and the like. I heard their already doing that at the moment in the states. Its hard to say about the Wii U before we properly get to test it in action. I'm personally not that fussed about it, bit underwhelming for a next gen console. I think how well they make use of the game pad will determine how well it will do on the market. What sort of games do you like playing? I could recommend many depending on your preferences.

Thanks everyone.
My favorite types of games are action/adventure, I love Zelda games alot!

As for the Wii U i think im gonna get it now when it comes out, now that i hear that you can play it and someone else can watch T.V on the same T.V, because there is always someone watching T.V in my house, i usually dont get a chance to play my ps3.

Thanks again guys and gals for the responses :D :D :D

Speaking of the Wii U, I was at Best Buy yesterday and they had their display model out. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how comfortable(and light weight) that controller is to hold. I definitely want to get one at some point.

For the Wii itself, if you like Mario games, Super Mario Galaxy is fantastic and the most fun I had with a Mario title since Super Mario World. Also be sure to grab Super Metroid off the virtual console because it i still one of the greatest games ever made. If you can find a copy of Metroid Prime Trilogy at a reasonable price, get your hands on that.

I was highly disappointed with Skyward Sword though. The motion controls are awful, and actually worse than the tacked on motion controls in Twilight Princess(at least those were functional).

Wii U is backwards compatible with wii games! So if you're buying a wii u, you may as well wait rather than spending money on a wii as well.

As many have said, there are plenty of very good games for the wii, you just have to dig through a lot of rubbish to get to them.
