What was this PSX game?

A really long time ago, I was at a friend's house when his mom was babysitting me and sometimes I watched him play on his PlayStation 1. He had a few demo disks that came with it. One of the games on the demo disk was this Japanese adventure game. I don't remember what it was called. The demo disk featured 3 levels of it. This description is of the level I remember the most.

You start off running down this towering wall while some statue head is rolling after you. Every now and then, your character would say "Whoa Jump!" when an obstacle is near. Finally you reach the bottom and you think it's over. Guess what, It's starts rolling again. After about a minute of running away from the statue head, you enter some castle throne room, church, or chapel I think and you meet the bad guy who has some princess hostage. The princess has some confidence you can beat him but he knocks her out and says "Shut up ya dumb gal!" Afterwards, he escapes with the princess and then a giant robot crashes the ceiling and a boss fight ensues.

That's all I remember. If anyone knows what this game was called, I'd like to know too. Thanks.

I remember Rootrick VERY well.

"Shaddup ya dumb gal, or else y'all gon' get a lickin'!"

And there was also a really funny line from the princess in the beginning of the game where she says something like "Stupid costumes? Take that back, you, you....YOU LITTLE TURD!" and then the old guy (I forgot his name) says "Princess, Sir Little Turd, calmeth down!"

I also really liked the sequel for PS2 as well, though Nomura ruined the character designs. Musashi in that game looked like Sora and Yuffie put together.
