Anyone here play Persona? U:

I've played P3P (as FeMC, currently playing through it again as Minato), watched my sister play P4, and I just started P2: Innocent Sin*. Also, quite looking forward to P5. It's probably gonna be on the Vita, though, which is concerning. I:>

*Holy crap, it's a relic of a game. I'm playing the remake, but the battle system and freaking random encounters are annoying as all get out. Honestly, if it weren't for the prospect of Tatsuya/Jun, I probably wouldn't bother. orz

The original 3 Persona games were more fun in my opinion. They had you actually dealing with demons and negotiating instead of being everyone's savior like in the newer games. I can only hope that P5 moves away from the social links, or at least the typical social links where the MC makes everything work out just fine! I would be very happy if the game moved away from a teen centered point of view and was more focused on adult and young adult issues like in P2:EP.

Oh, I forgot about that. I actually quite like the demon-dealing.

At the same time, I really liked Social Links. It wasn't my impression that you were "saving" the people you linked with... more like, you were helping them learn more about themselves. It would be interesting if you could have alternate endings to links, though. :B

Yuugir, marry me? Each system has pos and cons. I like the demon deals but did not like the battle system. I loved not being able to give direct commands in P3 and hated the plot for p4. Can not wait for p5.

I don't know the full story of P4, but I think I'd have to agree with you there. Persona 3 had an amazing, albeit soul-crushingly depressing plot, and I find the characters more interesting than the ones in P4 (with a few exceptions; I'd take Chie over Yukari any day, and *spoilers* Adachi is a fantastic villain).

I really hope P5 has a legit same-sex romance option (FeMC/Aigis, FeMC/Elizabeth forever...?) and tones down a bit on the gender stereotypes. I wanted to scream when I got to the hot springs/Operation Babe Hunt parts. I'm also intrigued by the alleged surprising collaberation mentioned by Katsura Hashino.

You will hate two story lines in P4. Very anti gender...

The collaboration has been revealed. The title will be for WiiU.

Well, if the game seems worth it, I guess I'll give it a try anyway. I wonder what the new characters will be like...

Update: it hasn't actually been confirmed that Persona 5's for the WiiU. A bunch of people just assumed from a totally unrelated comment said by the president of Nintendo (America, might I add).

It'll probably be on the PS3.

So far persona has only been on Sony so I think it will stay. The way they do it have been release on system, add extras and release it on handheld.

Yeah, I agree. It'll also probably be for a console, then remade in some way on a handheld, to follow tradition.

Also, Yuri Lowenthal wil almost definitely voice act in it. ; w ;

On-topic, I actually liked the social links. Character development was amazing

And Persona 5 isn't coming to WiiU - but a Fire Emblem/Shin Megami Tensei Crossover game IS.

Yeah, I heard about that. Kinda... random. One of the other SMT spin-off series (Digital Devil Saga, I think it was?) had Dante from Devil May Cry make an appearance.

Kenji? What about Naoto? They could have done so much more with her. They spent so much time on her dream rather then who she was.

nocturne is the game with Dante...have not met him yet but that game is no Digital devil saga.

It got announced. As in officially.

However, SMT4 is coming out on 3DS.
