There needs to be a superhero RPG. It would play like a Skyrim/Fallout/Mass Effect/Prototype (the first one) hybrid. The player would create their very own superhero from the ground up. They would pick everything: race, gender, costume, color scheme of costume, superpower, superhero name, civilian identity, voice (I would want my character to sound like Nolan North), and even personality. The game would even feature a morality system so that the player could decide whether they wanted to be a total boyscout like Superman or Spider-Man, or be a totally badass anti-hero like Manchester Black or the Punisher. Personally, I'd choose the latter. This would affect how the public views you as well as your ending. As for actual powers, the player would choose a base power like fire, ice, telekinesis, earth, darkness, lightning, etc. They would in addition be allowed to select a transportation power (flight, super speed, or short-range teleportation) and a utility power (healing factor, super strength, or endurance). If anyone has any suggestions about how to improve my idea, feel free to post a response.

if my perfect ideal game existed, i probably wouldn't want to return to the real world, put it that way.

Something along the lines of Grand theft auto but with less of a story orientated narrative. Also in a totally immersive 3d HD first person perspective, where you can experience pleasurable senses, go anywhere, do anything, kill anyone or screw anyone and in a totally photo-realistic, consequence free environment. I guess it would be a second life which didnt suck but including docile, AI bots and trying to get your avatar cyber-laid with people in other countries wasnt just a completely voyeuristic. senseless exhibition.

It would require a quantum shift in terms of peripheral technology though.

Mine would be a Duke Nukem game. However, what would make this game perfect would be a 20 hour play-through (no 5 hour games allowed here) and that it would be set in Philadelphia. The pigcops would still be mutated humans, but they would look very much like the ones you see in Manhattan Project, since those looked the closest to what I always thought pigcops should act and look like. Plus those guys used realistic equipment like police helicopters, which further added to their awesome menace.

So Duke would be going from place to place in Philly, but his traveling won't be easy. The pigops will be tracking him and try to trap him with police barricades or trap him in a building, there will be sections where they catch him, and Duke has to try to escape.

And in Philly, he has to rescue babes/women whom the aliens have captured, and destroy alien strongholds. Aliens will use Philly as a base of operations, and as such parts of the population will be captive, and some will have escaped.

There would be most of the same old familiar aliens: Octobrains, Assault Commanders, Troopers etc. No slimers, no giant gross alien tentacle things, just regular aliens.

Since this game would be set after DN3D (but not sure where to set it, maybe after DNF?) there would be an additional group, the fractured Earth Defense Force. Since the aliens came and killed a third of the group and changed into pigsoldiers (those pig things in DNF) another third, the remaining group went into disarray and split into two warring factions. Each group disagrees on what strategy remains (it's why they split) and who should be leader. Duke can go into their bases and get weapons, but they will fight the 'enemy' faction if they see them.

There would be heavily dark themes in this like DN3D had, no 'goofy' world like DNF. You would see pod women, humans strung up dead in alien spaceships, and people looking scared. Plus you'd see women the pigcops captured to have for themselves, dead people in some places, and people fleeing out of the city. Some of the apartments that Duke might go into would show it looking ransacked, as people quickly gathered up what they could and just left the rest.

Also one of the things that could happen to Duke besides dying, is he could get turned into a pigcop himself (only he'd be PigDuke.) Some of the assault commanders (those guys who mutated the EDF guys in DNF) would be firing that yellow mutation ray (or using a sort of mutagenic slime) at him. If he gets hit too many times without using an antidote (which one of the factions would have developed) he mutates. I would say he gets hit ten times, and once that happens, he only has a certain amount of time to use it (like 10 minutes.) Like death, this is a game over.

Throughout this game, there would be various vehicles. Almost any vehicle Duke comes across (unless its damaged, destroyed or heavily locked) would be usable. From skateboards to tanks, if it's there, he can ride it.

And throughout this game, almost anything can be used as a weapon (like how it is in Half Life.) Baseball bats, exercise weights, whatever.

Lastly, weapons and health would be located in various logical places like hospitals and armories or on fallen enemies or soldiers, no items 'out in the open for no reason' like there had been in earlier Duke games. Also no goofy NCPs like there had been in DNF. I hated them.

That's my ideal game.
