Picked this up recently, it really drew me in. Anyone else played it?

Yup I did, I quite enjoyed it. I love those Russian voices hehe. I don't think Metro 2033: Last light has been released yet, or has it?

Played about 4 hours of it and it has been really good so far. Haven't played it much though, just been less interested in shooters recently. The whole thing is really polished and fun, with a good, creepy vibe and awesome setting. The combat feels good and the sound design is perfect.

Yeah the Russian voices are good. I think the sequel is finished, but not yet released.

Played it on Hard the first time i played it.Metro Last light was actually pushed back to March i think.

If you are playing on PC... Your PC has to be a beast though. There are DirectX 9 and DirectX 11 modes, and the DX9 allows it to play on older systems, but to get the next-gen graphics everyone raves about, you need at least $200 of graphics card.

I barely ran this on "high" (but not "ultra") at 30fps on a Radeon 6870.

Protip: For maximum experience, play with Russian voices and subtitles in English (or your native language).
