What is your favorite Battlefield game?

Well, Battlefield 3 is launching in a month, and the open beta is scheduled to start on September 29, 2011 for all platforms. I cannot wait for it. And please, it really is not a "generic shooter". If I had to define Online Shooter it would be the Battlefield games. Don't get me wrong, RPG is my favorite genre of games but I love this series too.

Battlefield 1942, the first and still the best in the series. Back when it was a little more arcadey and not trying so damned hard to be a Call of Duty knock-off where a fly can kill you by landing on you and calling it realism.

I like 2 of them but I selected the most which is battlefield 1942 which I just recently installed of my laptop. The other one I like is Battlefield 2

Me + Battlefield 2 + L96A1 + Gulf of Oman = Sniping as it should be... Cheap, dirty and highly efficient... 8)

Win.

Then along came Bad Company spin-offs and bush wookie hate... :evil:

Was there a battlefield game that had a hot-swapping mechanic in the single player or was that a similarly titled game?

Omg noone ever knows anything about Battlefield: Modern Combat 2, guess i belong to the exclusive club of people who enjoyed that piece of art.

Seaturtleisland - BF Modern Combat 2 had swapping in the Campaign, you could see class icons and instantly switch to them.

Then I'd have to vote for that one as my favourite but to be honest I only played two of the games. Modern combat was one of the two games I played and I liked it better.
