Favorite Mario Villain(s)?

Who is/are your favorite villain(s) from any of the Mario series?

Mine are Bowser, Count Bleck (Super Paper Mario), and Dimentio (also SPM).

Personally, I always liked King Boo from Luigi's Mansion from I was young, mainly because he was actually capable of kidnapping Mario due to his power, (Well, his minions. Oh, and don't speak of Mario is Missing, as that pretty much sucks.) and I think he looks intimidating for a Boo.

Besides, he can only be defeated by the power of the Poltergust. (In Japan, the King Boo of Super Mario Sunshine was known as Boss Teresa. Teresa being the Japanese name for Boo.)

How many Mario bosses are there? Which borderline bosses do you include as bosses and which ones don't make the cut?

Would you consider buzzar a boss? What about wiggler from Super Mario 64? Where do you draw the line? Do you have to fight the character for it to be a boss or could it be a character that you have to race or challenge in some kind of mini game?

If I were to pick a favorite villain from the Mario series, I would choose Waluigi because the game Dance Dance Revolution Mario Mix gave him an actual antagonistic role in the game, even though Bowser's the last boss to beat. Still I wish Waluigi would be in a Mario or Wario game that isn't a spinoff, whether it be a villainous or anti-hero role in the Mario games, or a protagonistic villian/second banana alongside Wario in a Wario platformer.

I completely agree with this. I don't see this happening anytime soon however. New Mario or Mario related games seem to be fewer each year. All we can do is hope...

I can agree it's pretty unlikely for Waluigi will be in an actual main Mario or Wario game because there are fewer every year. I'll be pretty surprised if Nintendo would give him more character development and make him into more of a serious villiain still with comedic undertones, but with dry, dark, and sarcastic humor added in his new-found personality.

The one question I have towards my beloved Boo Why aren't you in Mario Party 9. I know you have your own level and everything, but I want to crackle and hiss at my fellow players

I would've said Wario and Waluigi as well, but I've always viewed them as more Chaotic Neutrals than actual villains.

Their scenes in Mario Power Tennis are some of the funniest mess I've ever seen.

The Wario look-a-like from Super Mario RPG.

Pretty much every boss in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island holds a special place in my heart. I really wish we still had the cables for our SNES. Anywho, I actually do have some specific Mario villains that I like, and those would be from my other great Mario experience, Paper Mario. Jr. Troopa and the Koopa Bros are the some of the most annoying turtles in all of Mario and for some reason I love them for that.

Fawful with his crazy dialogue (Fink-rats! I have fury!), the Shadow Queen and Shadow Peach from Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, pretty much all the boss ghosts from Luigi's Mansion, and Bowser's seven children, the Koopalings, in SMB3 and other games.
