I've been wondering about this... The Sims has at least 10 expansion packs I think. There's supposed to be one more sometime next year before The Sims 4 comes out. what could it be? I read somewhere that it will be a future themed pack. possibly called "Into The Future" that may of may not be the official name for it.
anyway, I would figure something like that could have a new type of Sims in it. but Seasons (which I have yet to buy) already has aliens. since I don't have that pack I use the face sliders to create alien looking Sims.
Unless it's just a stuff pack. in which case it wouldn't have new types of Sims. if not new aliens... perhaps the return of the robot Servo? Ambitions (which I have) already has Simbots, but they are supposed to be junk robots. So a futuristic robot, like Servo might be a possibility. maybe it would have space travel? such as a moon base or alien planet? Mars? but they already have alien towns (which I don't have) and stuff like that on the Sims 3 store. Lunar lakes is on of them. in that case, what do you think they could add? Do you think we will see the return of Plant Sims or bigfoot?
probably not bigfoot, Since he should have been in the supernatural pack but is not. I know seasons has Genies and Aliens. maybe bigfoot should have been in the seasons pack. but he's not.
in my case, I like getting new Sims to play with. which is why I bought Supernatural, lots of new Sims to play with. I usually use a mod to get Mummy's, Simbot's and that sort of thing...
So far, with the packs I have... I can get these types of other Sims...

Ghost. Is it possible to get The Grimm Reaper as a playable character?
Mermaids and Mermen (Mermaid Man?)
the skeleton maid Bone Hilda (Only NPC of course.)
Zombies and all the other supernatural pack Sims...
Dogs, Cats and Horses. (Unicorn, but it's rare)
then there's the one's I can't get until I buy the rest of the packs...
Genies.
Aliens.
