Creators of Myst and Riven launch Kickstarter for new game.

I don't know how many fans of the Myst series are here but I'm sure a lot of people might remember that when Myst was first released 1993, it became the top best selling game world-wide for 9 years straight until it was overtaken by the Sims in 2002. It's quite impressive for a computer game to have been a best seller for that long. Anyway, the independent game developer Cyan, who are the original creators of Myst and it's sequel Riven, have now announced a Kickstarter campaign for a new game that they claim to be a spiritual successor to Myst, though it doesn't follow the same storyline (the Myst series ended with Myst V unfortunately). The game is called Obduction, due out in 2015 if it get's fully funded, and I'm posting this because I'm not sure how many people have heard about it:

Anyway, if anyone is a fan of Myst or the Myst series, I'd highly recommend contributing the Kickstarter as it looks like a very similar game and I think the environments look awesome, immersive and beautiful:

I've always loved the scenery of these games.

I loved the scenery as well. I also liked the difficult puzzles too, though I found Myst IV: Revelation to be the most difficult one for me personally. It was the first Myst game that couldn't complete without a walkthrough.
