( damn it Nintendo, is it really that hard to just tell us how much space stuff takes in KB/MB/GB? )
Hey, I'll have you know that if I were to make a console or handheld, I would measure space in purple rabbits.

Seriously though, I agree. I don't see why Ninty had to create their own units of space. Is it so they can make their download screens look pretty, by having "blocks" dropped into a pot that slowly fills up? I guess it's not too big a deal if you're still on your first SD card, because it tells you how many blocks you have left, and how many blocks a game is in size, as well as how many blocks you'll have after the fact(which is actually a good idea). The problem is when you want to invest in another SD card, and you don't know how many blocks one would have.
I think you're right about Animal Crossing. With Wild World and City Folk, I kept the cart/disc in by default, and switched it back in after I finished playing something else. In the off chance that I'm dumb enough to give my soul to AC a third time with New Leaf, I will also go digital for that same reason. But, since it wasn't easy to get my soul back each time I played a game in the series, I have since concluded that AC is just a evil as any mmo, except offline, unless you want to go online. /rant
As for which games the OP should try, I would recommend checking out a few of Level 5's G1 and G2 eShop titles. Also, Bravely Default looks to be a nice throwback to old school jrpgs, but with less frustration, and that's out on the 7th. Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition is free till the end of the day today, so you should pick that up ASAP.
