I have already beaten A Link Between Worlds and I have a $25 gift card that needs to be spent. So give me a good game to play on the 3DS.

Fire Emblem: Awakening. If you haven't already, get Pokemon. Or, you can wait a week and get Bravely Default.

I've also heard good things about Shin Megami Tensei IV.

Beat Zelda again on Hero Mode.

I don't know what games you like or already own, so I don't know what to recommend.

The games I think are good are:
Kid Icarus: Uprising, I am very fond of this title as it is very funny with some still interesting plot. Full voice cast through the entire game. Too entertaining not to finish

Fire Emblem: Awakening, I tended to get a little obsessive in looking at the strategy due to its depth as you can strengthen characters and coupling is interesting. I currently have not finished it yet as I like the characters too much to see it end too quickly, although I think I am a little way off.

Bravely Default, Some of my experience with Squire Enix told me that the combat would be overly complex or will rush you to make decisions, but this was not the case. The general upper combat idea is simply to go bravely (use energy to make extra moves) or default (wait/guard to build up energy). Granted that moves you do are important, but the strategy is good, and the characters likable.

Animal Crossing New Leaf, I don't really have any friends to play the game with, but it is still something that keeps bringing me back to play, it is also pretty good.

Pokémon X or Y, I think that it should bring back people who have not played in a while as although there are a bunch of new ones, there are still the old favourites including getting a gen 1 starter. Great 3D (not involving the slider), with new things to do that can have an impact on battles, and characters look amazing.

Mario & Luigi: Dream Team
Kid Icarus Uprising
Bravely Default
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Mario Kart 7
Star Fox 64 3D
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy
Pokemon X/Y
Tales Of The Abyss 3D

an alternative to a retail game would be an eShop card for some digital games. I suggest:

Dillon's Rolling Western ( and/or it's sequel )
Pushmo
Crashmo
Sakura Samurai
Chibi-Robo!: Photo Finder
any Shantae game or games
HarmoKnight

I haven't played that one yet ( though I do want to as it looks really cool...also the upcoming Shovel Knight ), so I can't in good conscience recommend it.

You should play it ;)

Yes, Shovel Knight in March...too far away =( But I guess I have Zelda to keep me busy until then.

Maybe once I get a bigger SD card and a USB adapter to transfer all my stuff to the new card. Seriously, my current SD card is mostly filled just by Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Chibi-Robo!: Photo Finder and the extra data for Street Pass Mii Plaza...I have at most 100 blocks left.

Top of my list would be Etrian Odyssey 4.

Then Pokemon X and FE: Awakening.

Really though, I haven't kept much with the newer games but I know I'd like those 3.

Geeze.

That's one of the reasons I've been sticking mostly to physical games. Most of the really good 3DS games are only available as downloads though, and I'm sure they'd be a lot more expensive on a cart.

It's all eShop and DSiWare games aside from Animal Crossing...but Animal Crossing by itself takes 6000 blocks ( damn it Nintendo, is it really that hard to just tell us how much space stuff takes in KB/MB/GB? ) and Chibi-Robo! takes up 4000 iirc. I had to delete a bunch of Virtual Console games to make space for Chibi-Robo and still just barely squeaked by. Most of the games I have take up a couple hundred blocks each...and the extra data is next to nothing, except for Mii Plaza which is split into 2 separate data files: 1 at 1000+ and the other aroud 200-500. This is the problem with digital only....sure, I can keep deleting stuff but what happens when they try to charge me again after re-downloading so many times or if I want to re-download something that gets pulled? If the game is crap I couldn't care less but for an all-time fave like EarthBound or Fire Emblem....

Unfortunately, the price is generally the same whether you but physical or digital ( which is asinine. at least shave $5-10 off the price... ). The only reason I went digital with Animal Crossing is because I play every day and it's less hassle if I want to play something else on 3DS as I won't be constantly swapping game cards.

Hey, I'll have you know that if I were to make a console or handheld, I would measure space in purple rabbits. Seriously though, I agree. I don't see why Ninty had to create their own units of space. Is it so they can make their download screens look pretty, by having "blocks" dropped into a pot that slowly fills up? I guess it's not too big a deal if you're still on your first SD card, because it tells you how many blocks you have left, and how many blocks a game is in size, as well as how many blocks you'll have after the fact(which is actually a good idea). The problem is when you want to invest in another SD card, and you don't know how many blocks one would have.

I think you're right about Animal Crossing. With Wild World and City Folk, I kept the cart/disc in by default, and switched it back in after I finished playing something else. In the off chance that I'm dumb enough to give my soul to AC a third time with New Leaf, I will also go digital for that same reason. But, since it wasn't easy to get my soul back each time I played a game in the series, I have since concluded that AC is just a evil as any mmo, except offline, unless you want to go online. /rant

As for which games the OP should try, I would recommend checking out a few of Level 5's G1 and G2 eShop titles. Also, Bravely Default looks to be a nice throwback to old school jrpgs, but with less frustration, and that's out on the 7th. Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition is free till the end of the day today, so you should pick that up ASAP.

Wait, was that seriously not released yet in America, it was released in on the 7th of December?
Australia actually got something earlier. :D

I think you're referring to the demo, which is kind of like its own side game. That's free, by the way. If you want my honest opinion, I wouldn't call BD revolutionary, by any stretch. The job class system has been done just as good, if not better in the past. The brave and default system is where the game deviates from an overpriced FFIII and V knockoff, but I'll probably only make extensive use of it in boss battles. Still, it's not really the fact that it's revolutionary that draws me to it. It's a nice little throwback to oldschool jrpgs, but done right, unlike Dragon Fantasy IMHO.

It probably helps that BD is developed by a company who knows how to make a jrpg. For whatever reason, SE can't be trusted anymore to make a good FF, but BD feels less like a sellout title, and more like a decent tribute to past titles. I don't care much for Scamco either, but that didn't stop me from enjoying Ni no Kuni. Then again, BD isn't Ni no Kuni(not even close), and anyone expecting such will be very disappointed. But, BD appears to be a decent game in its own right. I still think the vita wins this round though, because I'm looking forward more to Danganronpa, hands down. I will, however, concede that the war is skewed in favor of the 3ds.
