I don't know if I have been living under a rock or what, but I had no idea that this game really existed until the Meet the Pyro video game out. I mean, I do remember my best friend showing me some videos a few years back and I found them amusing, but I didn't know that it was a video game, just some shorts some geeky Pixar fanboys made.

Still, where have I been all of these years? This game is awesome, I mean, I love the cast of unique characters and the humor and most importantly the Pixar style graphics which I love being a fan of Pixar.

The only problem is well... I must confess that I haven't actually played it myself and I'm kind of nervous because I'm afraid people will act really sexist towards me because I'm a girl or I'll get made fun of for being a noob. Rather, what I have been doing is just watch videos on Youtube to pick up strategies and learn everything I can about the game so that I actually know what I'm doing before I actually play the game, but yeah... even if I am safe behind a computer, I'm still really, really nervous.

I guess I should just go ahead and play, maybe get a decent headset first, but yeah... I don't know what my problem is... Still... it's kind of my obsession right now. Especially since I need a fun game to play while my brother is off to college with the Xbox making me unable to play Skyrim.

Gaaah... what is wrong with me!

I tried it, but much like Call of Duty and similar things, I didn't have the reaction ability for it.

I'm a lot like you in that I really like the characters and humor of TF2, but I'm too nervous to actually play it. I tried it once but I was so bad at it that my own teammates friendly fired on me! I don't think that my reaction time is good enough to be able to play a FPS, which I'm fine with. I'm more worried about being looked down on by the people who actually do play the game if I decide to call myself a TF2 fan without actually playing it myself.

Yes, I play TF2. The game is free to play for anybody reading this. Don't be afraid, plenty of girls play TF2. Some of the items and hats are geared towards a female audience. You don't really need a headset unless you plan on playing competitively. Friendly fire is turned off of most servers and is only turned on so you can kill time when waiting for a new round to begin. The game is really easy to play, but can get a bit spammy IMO. As for people giving you a hard time, I keep the voice chat turned off. Most people just like to hear themselves talk and never shut up. It can be distracting. Good luck and have fun playing. Imma go play right now.

I myself never actually played it because I know my framerate would be JUST under decent playability.

However, I do know that it's a much better game than shooters like Modern Warfare 3. Also, since I'm a classics Elder Scrolls fan, I'm also going to say you should play it because I think it's better than Skyrim. =P

I really don't think there's anything wrong with a girl playing the game, and most people will think the same. Just ignore the other asshats.

Well, good to know, I think I'll play it then, though I was just a bit nervous.

Well, I played it, and well, I sucked... see, there is a lot to remember, especially as far as strategies goes. I mean, when I was playing Medic it not just healing people, but then I would have to remember to look to see if my Uber bar is fully charged and then . Plus, I have to remember what to look for when it came to spies and to spycheck and well, of course, I completely forgot that even though I knew better to make sure to use my saw or syringe gun to heal them and yeah... I'm a ret*d... seriously, when it comes to games, sometimes it is really slow for me when it comes to learning controls.

Then again, I was really bad at Skyrim's controls when I first got it so yeah... shouldn't be too bad. It just takes me more than

Still, I would be super happy if anyone on here played because I wouldn't mind having other friends to play with that won't judge me.

You should play TF2, but do you have Orange Box for the PC or Xbox or PS3, because TF2 on Xbox and PS3 no longer updates unlike the PC so pretty much everyone who plays TF2 plays it on the PC.

Got it on PS3, but TF2 by itself is free on PC.

Yup, so if you want to play it and your computer can handle it (which it should handle it on low settings unless it is a dinosaur) then yeah, play it, it's fun, even if you suck really bad at it, which yeah, I really suck at it.

I love TF2! In fact, it's become one of my special interests.

My favorite character is the Medic.

It's become on of my special interests as well. Are you excited for the update? Friend me on Steam, I'm known as Fialovy on there.

Oh my gosh, my favorite character is the medic too! I sort of have a bit of a crush on him. He is a sexy beast~ Though, as far as my favorite characer to play, I like the Pyro and Demoman, it's fun working with an Engie when you are a Pyro. Engie is fun too, though usually I only play it if nobody else wants to since I'm not the best Engie out there. Medic is also fun and easy to play, just don't be a pocket medic and actually heal other people besides heavies and soldiers you will be fine

As you can see from my Avatar, I'm a big TF2 fan - it does take practice though but it is a fun game. I keep voice chat turned off too - too often there's whining 12 year olds online and it ruins it for me if I have to listen to them.

By the way, the new Mann vs. Machine game mode is awesome!

Hey,

My name is Troy and I kind of play Team Fortress 2, I stopped before because noone would acknowledge my existance on the game even though my main class is Medic. I would be happy to heal you and any others in your group while you mow down the enemies!

I'm a big fan of co-operative things, I enjoy supporting 1 or more people to complete the same objective etc. You mentioned your steam name in an above post so I went ahead and offered a friend request your way, do with it what you want.

PS: I love Michigan, I used to go there to visit the great lakes and fish. I'm originally from Wisconsin myself :)
