Does anyone here play on the Star Wars Galaxies emulator? They are running a pre- combat upgrade version of the game but they've just had to re-write a lot of code. It's now got a more permanent Beta server named Basilisk and a test server Nova. I know Basilisk supports up to 3000 players and they have upgraded the code to the game to a point where it is apparently more efficient than the original? (C++). They have nearly all of the original pre- jump to light-speed classes working on Basilisk including Bioengineer and Bounty Hunter. They are still testing the player bounty setup on Nova and you can also test out the Creature Handler class too! The story driven tutorial at the beginning and equipment insurance and equipment penalty if you die is still being tested on Nova. They welcome anyone new to the community and are always looking for people to play test certain aspects of the game on Nova. I saw they're also looking for volunteers to help with the programming at the moment to join the team too.

Thats awesome actually, I might have to pick up an old copy of Star Wars Galaxies off ebay. I wanted to try the game but never did before it was shutdown on December 15, 2011. Do you need the expansions packs? I can get the complete version for pretty cheap. How is the community? Is the server decent?
