How many hours do you spend on video games and how old are you?

I would like to find out which age group spends the most time playing video games

Have you considered making a poll on this website?

If you go down to the "Stats" section in the forum, you can make a poll. You can also make a poll specifically in this section. Make a new topic, and it will give you an option to give details of your poll.

I'm 22 years old. I either don't play video games all day, or play for 8+ hours (sometimes more than 24 hours straight).

I have been alive for 15 years and I find myself playing games on my mobile phone for 10 hours or so; it could be for a single game only as Rail Rush I'm playing on as soon as I wake up in the morning until 2 o'clock in the morning, yes, on the next day.

You may think of me as obsessive as I see myself like that too.

These games do tend to take away a lot of sleep from my life, and considering I deactivated from the EMERGENCY ROOM about 2 weeks back on a Friday. I need energy and I need a lot of it; I make this ridiculous by obviously not going offline to act on the things my body and brain needs.

Sorry for too much meaningless information.

Now there's a nice idea! Good to see people helping others out.

I'm 32 ( less than a month away from 33 ), and I play every day anywhere from 20 minutes ( daily Animal Crossing errands ) to 10 hours, I play a bit of everything from RPGs to shooters to casual games like Endless Ocean ( the relaxing atmosphere was immensely helpful after I had oral surgery ), and on multiple consoles covering SNES, N64, GB/GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS, Wii, Wii U, GCN, PSX, PS2, PS3, PSP, Dreamcast and 360. I would play on my computer but it won't load Steam anymore....time to upgrade I guess.

I'm 35 and I usually play a game until I complete it. Some games I don't complete, but the vast majority of them I do. How long it takes just depends on the game.

It really does depend on the game for me, too. I'm 33 years old, and have been playing different kinds of video games since around age 7.

26 and I can play anywhere from a minute to all day into the next day. But recently I've had a slump of unfinished games. Hoping to change that by playing some good old fashioned JRPG's and move up from there.

Well, I'm 20. And for me, it really depends on what kind of game content you're talking about.

I've played over eighty hours of Blue Rescue Team so far, but haven't finished all of the after-game content just yet.

32, and I play a few hours each day. Generally free time that isnt used for eating/sleeping/showering/driving/whatever gets used for gaming.

It's pretty much my only hobby/interest, aside from cosplay & anime cons, but those are only doable on specific weekends when there are ones I can actually reach, and even at those, much gaming is still done.

It does though lead to way too much time in this accursed chair, though.... considering that this area completely blows, I've little desire to go outside most of the time as it is.

I've been a gamer since the Nintendo 64 came out, which soon makes it 18 wonderful years of gaming this Christmas. On average, I'd say I spend maybe 10-12 hours a week on gaming now.

I'm 27 and spend a lot of time gaming. Most of the day if i'm not watching anime.

I need to game a lot, it keeps me calm and helps if i'm getting meltdowny or just feeling crap.

I'm 25 and currently I don't play at all. But between 17-24 year old I was playing 6-14h a day a single game (I was switching servers and versions every 1,5 year or so but it was still the same game: "Perfect world") and I was really obsessive about it. I was a "walking encyclopedia" so other players (it was a mmorpg) usually asked me everything instead of checking stuff on wiki because I could answer faster then they could google it. :D And even when talking to real life people I was telling about what happened in the game...

I speculate that the time I spend playing the Baldur's Gate series is limited only by my lifespan.

I take breaks... sometimes a year at a time... but it calls to me... my precious... I've done 12 hour sessions on multiple occasions.
